Stump grinders are the ticket took a big stump and most of it's roots out in less then 4 hours and the stump was 4/5 foot across
  2. It was illegal pre-ban to allow lurchers to draw quarry , only reason lurchers were there was for any bolters
  3. There is a fawn and White one in a field in new kyo , co Durham and it and there's always coloured young in the field ... Tried a few times to catch it but it's weary as hell
  4. how is it nonsence if thats the food your giving them why wouldnt they do it You might have a point there,.. I fed my Deerhound bitch a Pork Pie,....and, she killed and ate a Piglet the next day,...very curious... It's not quite the same thing mate. And I see the lads point. Piglet and pork pies - not the same thing. Whole rabbit and whole rabbit - pretty similar ;-) How do you lads who feed whole rabbit have the dog not eating them in the field? Simple dogs ain't stupid they know the difference in hot and cold game , same way when you send a dog used for

  7. I'd like mine done as there's a few marks up a barrel and it's only proofed 1 1/8oz (32g) cartridges and at about 90yrs old it would give me piece of mind Having said that it's a English BSA and Ive read that there near bomb proof
  8. Birmingham or London proof houses . Could do with mine getting reproofed seen as it's proof marks are early 1920s so will be interested to see if any one knows the cost
  9. Ever thought people might of been on his land worrying stock with dogs ? Or a neighbour as said he seen such a coloured dog worrying stock and he was just checking it wasn't your dog? Bit of permission the father in law as he is not allowed on with his Harris hawk any more because someone else with a hawk was cheeky to the old dear who owns the land , so she just said no hawks on the land simples ... When I moved into my house over a year ago the farmers round here were abit weary of me and my dogs but now they all take the time to stop for a yarn and to ask if I've been out hunting and
  10. so have I but on some types of treatments it warns against using them on collies
  11. Same reason some flea collars and frontline/spot on treatments shouldn't there's some ingredient in it which is meant to cause a reaction in collies
  12. If your unsure about it , use hibiscrub. shampoo the dog in it and can also be used to clean out the dogs kennel. Also barbicide (stuff hairdressers use to clean combs ect) kills everything but can be harsh if used at the wrong dose
  13. Join sacs , if you get turned down they will fight your case for you

Don't know if it was a muay Thai and kickboxing festival just thought it was an all things Thai festival . He fought a Spanish fella and won in the second round (bit of a story to the fight) his name is Louis norton

Friend used to do it , he was ranked 7th in the world at one point (which I'm told is good for an English fighter) and ranked 1st in Britain . He retired due to lack of fighter willing to fight him and having time off work to recover . He would of been fighting when you first started ... And he attended the Thai festival thing they had in Manchester in around 2001/2002
  19. The ridge x grey I had would of bitten you if he didn't know you and no one was about .. My 2 big dogs will only bark if they hear a car they don't recognise or see someone they don't , collie x will have a random bark if he hears me or the lass speaking to a stranger , neither would bite I don't think
  20. CG , we tried that at Birr last year and there was still bitching from people who hadn't registered their dogs. If people were that keen to race in the whippet class they would pay the 20 odd quid it is to register pups
  21. Just to add this isn't a personal attack at Rose , spoke to both her and her mum at shows before they are very nice people , organisers should be getting judges that know how to work there hounds
  22. what was wrong with her?, have you done much judging yourself chid As she ever worked a dog ? Judges should be people who know how dogs work all legal quarry , how can somebody judge a fox class for instance with no knowledge of ever running a fox ... And no I've never been invited to judge at a show , unless your offering lol
