  1. yes both my dogs were trained to sit and come in on the whistle , i say were as i havent kept up with the sitting on the whistle , you dont need to have the dog doing everything on the whistle all the time , i use hand signals as well .. and you'd be surprised how little the quarry is scared by a whistle going off

  6. i like the whippet/greys , i think there underated dogs, ive seen a couple of really good ones work but imo a bit of something else is needed (1/8 upto 1/4) for a good all purpose dog be it beddy, saluki, bull or collie.

  12. imo if you dont take none at all during the summer mixy will take them, i always have a couple of nights out in the off season to keep the hawks in food and the dogs ticking over

  15. to me age isnt an issue its the number of seasons the dog as seen , 1st season learning , 2nd season testing the dog to see if its going to make the grade

  19. ive only ever seen dogs working dairy cattle around here, never saw one working beasts perhaps its for a reason, perhaps not id say the reason being is alot of working collies will move milkers but when there for moving beasts it takes something special

  22. Cows are even worse if there's a horse in with them , I'm don't mind going in with milkers even with sucklers but I hate going in with beef as imo there unpredictable
  23. There will be a few lads travelling over to shows so get this in the gamefair section , if you can get it to co.down I can house it till you can get it picked up
