  1. Possibly, but I don’t claim to know much about them. Handy though, if you live near a river like I do. Strangely though, I’ve never felt the need to dip my rifle in it.....?
  2. I think the new ones are shorter, and you can dip them in the river along with your rifle and wiggle the whole outfit about under the water for no apparent reason if you want to, according to the advertising video. ?
  3. One of your other homes ? Bleddy ‘ell vm, and you’re bothered about £100 ??
  4. I’ve been thinking about getting one of Weihrauch HW100 Lightweight Air Tube Cylinder Complete TITANIUM Made By Fentons WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Fentons Lightweight Air Tube Cylinder To Suit Weihrauch HW100 Complete TITANIUM. A working pressure of 250Bar Maximum for Tench regulators and 200 Bar... these from fentons. Only the longer ones available at the moment it seems...
  5. A mate of mine had a mk1 GT, he had some fun with that. Used to drive like a looney in it, but man, he could drive. I still remember the number plate SRA106K. You know who you are Neil ??
  6. At a minimum I think you’d want to be running the lighter (20ish grain) .25 pellets at around 30ft lbs energy to avoid difficulties regarding trajectory. Much less energy than that .22 will make more sense.
  7. Between the mk2 and the mk3, I think it might come down to how versatile you want/need it to be Ben. Easily adjustable power is a great bonus in that respect. Will you be shooting into trees etc ? In and around farm buildings ? If so, depending on location, you’ll be needing to turn it down and use lighter pellets maybe. All worth consideration before you decide.
  8. Yerr, not too good for distance SD, but good for rats on the embankment, as well as the odd rabbit that’s turns up. They were dirt cheap as well. The rws shorts I had were more accurate, and faster, but quite a bit more expensive. I’ve had the eley .22 short high velocity which were good, but no longer available unless you can happen on some old stock. CCI do a hollow point short, but sourcing them isn’t easy. The last ones I’ve seen were at forest lodge guns a few years ago.
  9. Yerr, I bought 700 a few months back. S&B, I like ‘em ??
  10. Hmr is good for the crows, that’s about all I use mine for?
  11. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiK59aMzdz0AhUFolwKHdafBxoQFnoECAIQAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.drbobsgunbits.com%2Fabout&usg=AOvVaw2vlHupjKC8N8fb2JF8lPH4 Try Dr Bobs
  12. None this year and none last year. Only seen one this year, and no chance of a shot. But then, I can’t say I’ve been out after them.
  13. The newer stuff is more refined for sure. I wouldn’t buy another rapid now, but I wouldn’t part with mine because I’ve had so many good times with it and for a pcp, it’s got a character that’s lacking in the current higher end pcp’s. But that’s just my opinion, I might be talking shite.........again ?
  14. That box (ICI stamped ammo) is early forties mate ??
  15. Yerr, ‘tis true. I do most of my shooting with my gat gun. I’m so good with it now and I can put five corks into a three foot circle at four paces.........sometimes ?
  16. I don’t know about the Kral ultra, but the Remington express and sabre are apparently very good for the money.
  17. In that case Phil, you might be pleasantly surprised with .22 hobby in your HW35 ?
  18. Well, I don’t know about that Phil. HW springers that I’ve known and owned always seem to like rws hobby .22 in my experience. The HW99S that I have now also loves them as well as the superfields. I use H&N pellets to good effect as well, and I know you don’t get on with them either. So, either I’m talking bollocks, or you’re a miserable old fart talking shite, or it’s both of us gone batty....????. RWS do make good rimfire ammo, that I agree ??
