  1. Gotta be done. The Suzuki's are nice and quiet for sneaking about with.
  2. I have the flock shells on the sprung stick but if they can see the stick they turn. I had to lay them flat yesterday. My plastic full bodies need replacing. They are knackered after 30yrs.
  3. No. I'm not reading am I! I use reading glasses to tig weld but the moment I look beyond a meter everything is blurred. And before you start. No to laser treatment too!
  4. Man there is some geese about isn't there. The greylags are going to have to be controlled more so soon I think. I watch some adults ushering about twenty goslings into the river when I popped up. The geese around here consume more grass than rabbits!
  5. The screen would be blurred, anything close is blurred. And I ain't buying anymore useless gadgets! Now, where'd I left that shotgun....
  6. On my way home this morning I spied from some high ground another piece of ground I frequent. In the distance I could see crows. After teaching the granddaughter to ride a bike (amazing tool the hazel whip is), I got three hours leave. I set up in some shade and waited. It was steady going and the TOZ 66 fits very well. It's full chokes give each bird a severe feather trim to say the least! Ok I fluffed some simple shots rushing like normal but I was up to my usual performance. Hull pro one 28g #7&1/2s. 17 birds only but I got out, yaaaa. Work tomorrow ?
  7. My Mrs said the other day " why don't we go on walks like my sister and her husband do?" I said " because you won't wear walking boots and have to have your 8lb in weight handbag with you all the time!
  8. Or in bed attending to marital responsibilities!
  9. Sometimes I wonder why I bother! I'm seriously considering to one rifle. It'll be a 22 or a wmr but which one I can't decide. I know I am fed up with the 452. I hate how it balances in my arms. My heart says go get that 9422m but my head says go get the Annie! My eyes are finished for serious rifle shooting. I'm passing on anything over 100yds these days. It was not long ago I would shoot rabbits to 150yd regularly with a 22. Not anymore. My eyes seem dim somehow. I have to stop these days and wait for my eyes to catch up! It's like a rabbit slowly appears from nowhere and
  10. Found an earth this week right under my nose in the heart of my patch! Well my dog did and duly left her scent everywhere! I struggled to wait for them, the wind was all wrong. I know they were in there, pheasant feathers and flies buzzing about etc. I got out at 3:45 this morning, nothing! They've moved on ?. I walked miles, listening for a betraying cock bird... what's left of them....but nothing ?. What a plonka. Now I'm tired and grumpy for nothing! I'm going to become a vegan, they might have it right, at least they sleep longer!
  11. Mines a cheap one off fleabay. It's not as bad as yours though mate. It is a fiddle with the card though. It's screen is tiny and my old eyes can't read the information so I have to connect to my phone which is a pain. So far it has contributed to me getting a fox; 0! Bit like my NV device, that has contributed to me getting a fox; 0! I would rather just go lamping to be honest.
  12. I've been using 7&1/2s on them. Smokes them good.
  13. I smoked a high local crow yesterday on that wind, it felt oh so gooood ?
  14. Stav, I found an earth yesterday. Shamefully right under my nose! Most my pheasants are gone! Bloody things!
  15. Oh I don't know about that....good question!
  16. I have some old fourlongs and they are better than some recent ones. That's the problem with eley. Inconsistencies and catering for old flimsy actions and barrels.
  17. NSI, Fiocchi clay load. Winchester target loads. For ratting the Fiocchi 2" are very good. I avoid eley!
  18. Yes I have some of them but they are quite slow. There is such a wide variation in 410 ammo performance. It can give 410 a bad reputation with some when they hear pellets connecting with a bird but it flies on! #7-7&1/2 shot is my favourite too.
  19. All Webley bolt actions are 2&1/2". There are some powerful and weak 2&1/2". NSI do a cracking 14g. Winchester also. Reloading wise you can easily squeeze 14g plus. The Webley is a strong action and they should of been made in 3". My 3" reloads hold 19g easily.
  20. Swapped my Webley for a Baikal hushpower. No regrets. Not had it a year and it's took some stuff.
  21. What kind of a fool goes out in the strong gusty winds with a Chinese open sighted 8ft/lb 177.....this one! It went on to take a couple more. I like a little challenge once in a while but to be honest I was quite surprised how well it faired. The rabbit in the photo was over 50yds. SD.
  22. Never be without a 410, always make you grin. Mine shot a squirrel in the back yard this morning. Is that Webley an ejector model?
  23. Stupid phone. Edited now ?. Yes mate. Globalization is great for freaks and weirdos too unfortunately. An innocent photo mind is pretty safe.
