  1. It's a pain isn't it. It doesn't seem as bad as it was now but still a pain and a bit of a worry. Look after each other Phil, I'm sure you will be OK.
  2. Phil, did you mention a 22wmr for sale?? Thread 'Sako quad 22 wmr' https://www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk/threads/sako-quad-22-wmr.233663/
  3. Got to practice slow fire more then buddy. To be honest I see folk running combat style courses of shooting and it makes me chuckle. No one is shooting back at them for a start, that would slow them down some I assure you! What is often overlooked is in shooting is self discipline. A controlled inner calm. Calm pulse and breathing disciplines. Watch some Olympic shooters, they don't run around, except them on skies that is. Not everything requires adrenaline in large doses!
  4. Sorry Dave, I just had a crazy image of putting out lamb decoys to lure fox's with, it's ok, I'm weird like that. I get help when it starts getting to much....
  5. And breathe.......slow down tiger, ee you target shooters, how ever will you cope if a lion charges!
  6. I lost an estate recently because a new keeper has arrived. " my son and I will soon sort the foxs" I shot 4 now leaving his woods just casually walking the boundary recently ?
  7. Professional keeper....they are the worst!
  8. Does that mean you managed to get your truck somewhere without getting stuck lol ?
  9. No mate, slinky has gone to ground somewhere. It was a hare, I didn't shoot it. Bins work well in full moon. I bet posh swaros and leicas turn it to day time viewing!
  10. I enjoy the moon. I spotted something Friday night with my binoculars and then moved in to get a shot.
  11. Your not slow mate, some are just rude.
  12. I went out at 5:30 am, did my patrol. Watched shelduck and the larks. Photographed a chiffchaff and shot a squirrel. I went out Friday night also. Cream crackered. I'm stopping in now and may get up merely to talk to a jackdaw on my chimney but that's it. Well, might go out Sunday afternoon Zzzz
  13. The 243 takes some beating as a fox round.
  14. 200yds is around 6" down. 150 is around 2" down. Every rifle is different and any slight inclination of the scope makes for a lot of variation that goes unnoticed by most. Another overlooked factor is how or where the barrel is pointing as it vibrates. The bullet on one rifle might leave the muzzle with the barrel flexed up a fraction. Another rifle might be the opposite. It however will affect the relationship with scope zero and then shooting at extended ranges.
  15. I have a mount similar to that on order.
  16. I like a 100yd zero to 1" high at 100. They are fine in wind. Obviously not at 200yds in a 30mph wind but up to 100yds there is nowt in it. Took this one last weekend during a raining squall, the wind swirling all roads!
  17. That is easy on PW. One just exposes contradictions made by Zapp and he err zaps you!
  18. Just put a post up about safety types and you can hear the tumbleweeds. Put a post up on trigger improvements and same, tumbleweed. Boring lot ?
