  1. Dunno about anyone else but i hunt for sport and pest control, thats neither. No wonder all the uninformed people out there think we are all sadistic animal murderers if thats what they have to go on. Shit like that makes my blood boil, what a c*nt.
  2. Does anyone have for sale, or know of a cheap supplier of, mk3 ferret collars? Thanks
  3. i can vouch for these pups, we took one of the brothers and he is an absolute cracker. Feisty is an understatement, he put my mates three month old staff pup in his place with no messing. i nearly fell off my chair laughing! The staff is twice his size and flattens him when they play until our pup loses his temper, next thing you know the staff is sitting at your feet looking sorry for himself. Couldnt be happier with him, cheers mate
  4. i agree, hardly putting the welcome mat out is it? im as wary of the sneaky b*****ds as the next man but cant see the point of branding every new member who asks a question an anti? How many genuine people are put off this site by getting slated as soon as they post? im not suggesting we hand out free info on our activities to everyone but if you dont want to give him the answer then why bother posting anything? Just my opinion so dont all turn on me
  5. Technically yes but they will only test it if you get caught poaching or doing something else to antagonize them. it may still be dieseling (burning oil left from manufacture in the barrel or chamber) as its so new. My advice would be put the rest of the tin of (500) pellets through it to settle it in then re chrono it. if its still over the limit and your worried about it take it back to the shop and ask them so sort it, they should do it for free and be very helpful as in the eyes of the law they sold you an illegal firearm so its their ass if you complain! Hope this helps
  6. An old Falcon .20cal FN19. i've had it years and used to keep upgrading to multishots etc but it was always the one that got used so i sold the upgrades! i must have shot hundreds of head of game with it - wouldnt swap it for anything! The other gun in the pic belongs to my girlfriend, its a smaller version of mine. nice well if you ever fancy a diff buddy to go shooting with just give us a tinkle!! dont mind the travel ! (and stock good coffee ) i have some permission down your way but dont go there often in winter, as its a trek we camp there in summer, next time im head
  7. How much are you looking at spending? i have one i dont use much, hadnt thought of selling it but for the right price ....
  8. Good sport is slipping a dog on a good run, taking a clean well earned shot with the rifle or watching your ferrets working rabbits to bolt. it dosent always mean a huge bag, although its never a bad thing, and can even be a blank day if you get alot out of it. Nothing to beat it!!!
  9. i've heard of it being done but never seen it. it must be quite a skill
  10. Wankers arent they?!?!? Only question would be did the people in the cottages have the right to give you permission on council property? if not i spose its poaching but as its the councils responsibility to control the rats any reasonable person would say you were doing them a favour, problem is reasonable people are few and far between these days! Good luck with it!

  12. Beautiful, dog and picture. i hope your mate is using that talent hes got!
  13. i dont mate, sorry. The best thing to do is visit your local gunshop and ask them about clubs. As for permission i've found stables and livery yards are the easiest the start out on, its worth getting insured with BASC first too. Once you have your own permission shooting buddies are easier to come by. What gun do you use? Stick some pics up for us!

    YOUR OTHER HALF

My girlfriend (assasingirl on here) is quite into it, shes got her own airifle and has no problem with shooting rabbits or eating them, its just the gutting she wont have anything to do with. Thats fair enough though as im not really into cooking! We do alot of camping on my permission in the summer too which is great, last year she went off for a bunny for the pot and came back with a pheasant and pleased as punch! Not strictly in season but tasted great that night round the campfire! Shes getting a pup this weekend too and wants to work him with mine so plenty more sport to come i ho
  15. IS THERE WILD PIGS IN BRIT I DONT KNOW Yes
  16. They are not bad, i've eaten quite a few. Avoid the old bucks as they are chewy and dont taste that good but young ones are good. i just treated them like rabbit. Also be sure to skin them asap as once they are cold they are a hassle. Havent had one in ages as most of my current permission is mostly fields and not much woodland. i have to admit i miss shooting them more than i miss eating them though!!!
  17. A really good post mate, i know how you feel. Mine is the same although younger. i think i started her too early so i have stopped taking her out and am letting her do the puppy thing first. She does everything well in training but the excitement of being on a rabbit causes her to do the same as yours, hunting on and infuriating me for a minute or two! i am also without an experienced lurcher to help with training so i will be watching this thread with interest. Good luck

    the ban

Too true, our ancestors would be p*ssing themselves laughing if they could see the shit state this country is in, either that or crying. it would be nice to say there is light at the end of the tunnel but it appears to be just another tunnel .
  19. Good question, and i expect it would also affect your SC / FAC? Any opinions / experiences anyone?
  20. Welcome, there is a thread about signal crays on the "living off the land" forum. Hope you enjoy it!
  21. Thats the biggest bag of squirrels at one time i've ever seen! Good going mate
