i got one off my mate who owns a big chunk of my permission, £82 butchered and delivered and tastes even better as i know where it came from and probably saw it while out shooting. Lovely!

Same down here, im dead jealous of molly's pics - she seems to be having some cracking sport wherever she lives. im out and about alot and barely ever see one and never seen rat burys like they hunt. Shot a few in barns and that but would love to do more. Plenty of ferals though

Does anyone want to swap this for a lightweight spring gun? ideally break barrel. Crosman Ratcatcher .22 with T. Robb bolt and breech, redtip silencer, gunsmith tuned, 9.5 ft/lbs, will not include scope. ideal for ferals and rats, i just fancy something different with a bit more power and without the the bottle to lug around. Lets see what you've got!!!

No worries mate, you went for a much better gun. The ratty is ok for rats and ferals but not much else, you will get a lot more fun out of the theoben. Like i said before, hadnt thought about selling it till i saw your post so its not the end of the world. i'd probably miss it every now and again anyway! Good hunting!

Thanks mate Shes 8 mnths, saluki grey x bull lab grey Shes getting the hang of ferreting a little bit, not caught any bolters yet but stays alert, keeps out of the nets and grabs netted rabbits when required. She is great with the ferrets too and i think she is starting to mark, showing lots of interest in holes with rabbits in but that might just be me wishful thinking Shes my first and i have no idea how to train her to mark so im just hoping she picks it up! Good hunting!

Sunday was the second time we had to dig to retrieve the bloody collar! Why does it keep happening? if i did it up any tighter it would strangle the little sod and i've never had this problem with the older collars? This time wasnt too bad only 3 foot but the first time was 5 foot which is no joke when you know its only the collar you are digging to and at £47 a piece you dont want to just leave it there. is it only me or do other people have this problem? Any advice appreiciated

Great pics as usual Maybe its my location, Sussex, but in all the years i've been poking around the countryside with dogs and guns i've never come across large numbers of rats? Shame really as it looks like great fun and our new whippet x russell would be ideal for it once hes grown! Good luck and good hunting!

Had an enjoyable but not very productive days ferreting today using the new ferrets we got from Snelly on the site, thanks mate! Did a few warrens on two different bits of permission. The weather was great but recent wind meant all the holes were buried in leaves, which resulted in several missed bolt holes and several missed bunnies The pup, now 8mths, did very well, shes starting to mark, perfect with the ferrets, has stopped disturbing all the nets and sits watching til needed. She retrieved on that had pulled the peg out and disappered into the bramble still wrapped in the net. S
