Nice site, do you fancy trading a small game hunting holiday for a beach holiday in Zanzibar by any chance?
  4. Not sure about gear from china but i can recommend buying from the states. They have a wide range of bipods at half the cost of over here, i've had one for several years and i reckon its every bit as good as a harris. There are alot of dedicated reputable ebay sellers that will ship to over here. Good luck and good hunting!
  5. You never know, we might find it next week, only a few acres to look round Did you try ringing AGS? We've just been out on the lamp, Tyla had a couple of good runs - shes millimeters behind them, it wont be long now! As to scopes it depends on your style of shooting, whether your into parralax rangefinding, mil dots, adj turrets etc. The best advice is to try as many as you can and go for the one you feel most comfortable with. Good hunting
  6. its true, a regular occurance in Sussex!
  7. £1 whole but usually give them away. Have to be headshot, ferreted or snared though as he wont take anything dogged or body shot.
  8. Nice dog mate, hows he bred and what did you put him across? Good luck with the pups
  9. Bloody hell , im all for young lads getting into the game but these boys need some tuition. Shouldnt be too hard on them though, if they had someone teaching them a bit of respect and some basic technique they would probably be fine. At least they are out there, although they hardly inspire confidence in the sports future do they?
  10. Bloody hell!!! Thats impressive! i too will be giving that a go, maybe every one that tries it should video their attempt, should make some hysterical viewing for you bullet!
  11. :notworthy: F*ck! Why didn't I think of that?!! Right; Later today ~ when the warmth of this Jamesons has worn off ~ I'll be digging out my big, puffy, lovely warm gloves and taking a well considered Stanley Knife to them! Few stitches, to keep everything tidy and ..... yeppers; I could well go into the business of making Happy Hunters! I'll make Me one, anyway! And those furry lined " Muck Boots " too! Oh, Pull Eeeease!!! My circulation's so bad now the blood almost grinds to a halt passing round my feet. And here's me trudging round in bog standard, steel toe capped gum b
  12. Sounds like a good plan, a few well sighted feeders can improve most shoots no end. Make an ideal focus for ambush hunting. Good luck!
  13. i know what you mean about young ones, i went for a mooch with the rifle yesterday and saw a couple of real small rabbits. They must be breeding all year round.
  14. i met an anti once, it was on the day of the CA march in Brighton, he offered me £25 to come and "have a go at the hunt wa*kers" i said "thats me" and punched him in the mouth wouldnt normally do such a thing but it really got on my tits. We both got kicked out of the pub and i never saw him again, shame
  15. A great day out from a not so promising start! The story is as above and i have to admit my performance was not up to scratch to start with by the third miss i was wondering if anyone would ever take me seriously again! Luckily i made it up towards the end of the day and honour was satisfied! Always nice to meet a genuine bloke and good to be able to share ground. i must say John's permission is a quality bit of land and i hope he enjoyed a wander round mine. No doubt we will be doing it again soon, hopefully next time we will have the full party, the three of us, Tyla and the ferrets!
  16. Whoops, im afraid your head is in a ditch maybe you should have put your name on it!
  17. Thanks, must say im suprised though. i thought it was very small for roe but he could be right as never seen anything but roe in the area.
  18. i phoned the police there and then but apparently the somerset constabulary "dont attend vehicle break-ins!"!!!!!!!! they said it was an insurance matter!!!!! Try reporting it as a "hate crime" they tend to be a little more enthusiastic. Although how long that will last when they realise you are a white, hetrosexual, able bodied, non drug addicted male who looks after his kids, is any bodies guess! Maybe you should say you are a chinese, one legged, crack fuelled, lesbian single mother? They would probably give you a new car and a council house!
  19. So, we think its a muntjac or CWD, i wonder where it came from? There are alot of roe around the area but i've never seen anything else. i will keep an eye out from now on. Thanks for all the input
  20. Thanks Opal, it would be ideal for canals its a Sevylor Colorado. And yes, he is a lucky barsteward as am i when i can get down there! Zebedee, would be good to see you saturday. PM sent
  21. Could be either although i thought teeth were a bit worn for a lamb or anything young, heres a few more pics. Thanks
  22. its very small for any of them i reckon and the teeth are wrong for a dog. it looks like a lamb or fawn but the teeth show signs of wear so i would have thought it was an adult, whatever it was its got me perplexed thats for sure!
