  3. good luck. what pisses me off is all winter nice little setts no interest from the dog at all. very few. rabbits about. now last few weeks dog marking same setts and holing rabbits up.
  4. just been on holiday with missus and took little dog with me. did a lot of walking and thought there would be more stuff about. lots of badgers run over.
  5. just back from north Devon. Bideford, horns cross area. didn't see a single rabbit all week. not even 1 sat at side of road surprised me really.

  7. Yes but you live in the promised land?
  8. your certainly right about them being one paced. I think a lot are disappointed with them because they buy them as running dog and are no such thing. I use mine generally for cover work, marking and ferreting. just about all her daytime rabbits are caught in 25 to 30 yards max. but that is all I ask of her.
  9. I have yet to see a whippet work nettles and brambles and general cover as good as a beddy whippet. not all beddywhippet are bred out of show stuff. I used to think anyone with anything about them was on sites like this. truth is lots of people doing stuff aren't on the Internet at all. a lot of old boys with good stuff don't come on here.
  10. finding one off working stock will be very hard. having said that a friend of my father had a poodle terrier cross 40 odd years ago. it was good rabbit dog ferreting, mooching dog.
  11. at least you are trying. no genuine people want to kill everything real hunting lads like you are giving something back ?
  12. good luck hope you don't see any. any theory on why some places don't get it and others never free from it?
  13. been killing rabbits with myxy since January. numbers are very low around me yet they still get it. dog killed 6 in last two weeks in a place I wouldn't have thought there was 6 rabbits. forget rhd myxi is still the biggest killer.
  14. was there a few years back. was good numbers. can't believe difference here.
  15. I thought things were bad back home. I am in North Devon with missus and bought little dog with me no signs of a rabbit here.
  16. it's not ideal but I have spent a lifetime of freelancing. if people are honest a lot on here have done the same. it's your choice but it's better than getting rid and giving up.
  17. little whippet x. Will work cover catch a few rabbits, pick up the odd pheasant and hold its own ratting and squirrel bashing.
  18. everything socks has said. 2 Jill's play together keep each other company. just as easy to feed 2.
  19. looks like you did a good job of it. light pollution is a bxxtard for night netting.
  20. just a thought micky could you have long netted them?
  21. hard luck today TOMO all the best for the play offs
  22. it's same here terry. places I have known since a kid always held rabbits not even a rabbit Todd there now. hare population not changed at all though. but big ears holds no interest for me as I only keep little dogs and its against the law and I am law abiding citizen ?
