I think those of us of a certain age have gone full circle mate. small mooching dogs, catapults etc. the do gooders and law changes have seen to that. more mooching, pot filling like when we first started.
let it go at it's own pace. just take it where there are holes, scent, etc. it will follow the spaniel when it's ready. some mature faster than others.
thanks, I used to be concerned about dogs being a certain size, weight etc, she is 19tts,its plenty big enough for rabbits and other small stuff which is all I do.
it's a bitch mate. love the hunting style, everything is 90mph, like the keenness and commitment, but had a cut to the chest and leg been stapled, but it's part of it.
there are many theories on this, starting too young, frustration, excitement, etc. even after careful entering some still yap. I believe some dogs yap and some don't, it really is that simple. pot luck.
8mm are becoming more popular. Read somewhere that. .55 are the best setup. sumeike are very good. I have always used 9.5mm steel. might try a lighter setup when my wrist is hopefully better ?
I think that's very true. a combination of all of us getting older, not many young people coming into the game. coupled with less numbers regards rabbits and too many do gooders and nanny state laws.
what do you call a good dog? we all different demands, requirements from a dog. the chap doesn't say what he wants it for. there is plenty of stuff being worked. go for parents doing what you want and the rest is down to you.
I have been taking the liquid morphine at night before bed. fxxking good stuff, I was ferreting last night with a little beddywhippet called bess, she's been dead 20 years ?
after having a bone graft and fusion in my wrist, I am now in plaster for 8 weeks then a splint. won't be able to pick up a catty for at least 3 months. every mooch, I automatically pick it up alongside dog leads, the dogs come running when they hear ball bearings rattle. certainly going to miss it.
