I don’t mind one or two about this time of year, they keep the place tidy ?

Up to feed this morning as they have decided they want to shoot on Saturday, to be honest I didn’t want to, I wanted to leave it until the 29th giving me a bit more time to bring a few more back into the feed areas, there wasn’t a lot about but it’s up to them, it will be just two small days to finish the season off, there’s still a fair few woodcock about and if they manage 15/20 bird day they will of done ok, there will definitely be a few more about by Saturday but some of the members seem to think they’ll still be getting 50/60 bird days into January, there’s a fox over the piggeries doing

2 new whiskeys to try, a Welsh one from a lad off here and a Japanese one off a lad I helped out today as a thank you, never tried ether of them so we’ll see what they are like ?

To be fair I really enjoy the snooker ( the final was a bit pants mind with a lot of silly mistakes and from the start you could see how it would end ) it a very skilful game, what annoys me now is the crowd shouting out like they are at a football match ( come on Ronnie, like he gives a sh*t about some plank constantly shouting his name out ) I also really like the darts but that’s because it reminds me of some crazy days and nights in the workies ??

That’s a proper walk out that, great way to spend a day ?we bumped a few deer today, I went out to put a bit of feed out first thing this morning and there was 5 roe around the forestry pen and 2 fallow doe’s over the piggeries, when we pushed the tree side through one of the fallow almost flattened one of the beaters

Draw time, first up the tank top, names have been pulled from my hat amazingly terryd’s name was pulled from my hat ? secondly, the tweed shooting vest/gilet, 2 in on this and the winner is Deker finally the pull over, Ianm, was pulled from the hat now I don’t want any shouts of fix or requesting a recount this draw was carried out in front of an independent adjudicator ( the cat ) If all winners can PM me your address I’ll get them sent as soon as I can ?

Day number 6 and a bit of a stinker, fog is bad enough for pheasant shooting but freezing fog is a nightmare, we are getting a little low on birds now in many of the drives as the season moves on and some lose cover and others become wet and cold. Up to this point they have shot well over a third of what we put down, another two 25 bird days and they will be on the way to shooting half of what was put down, so they’ve had some good shooting. We made the day up mainly with drives that we thought there may be a few in with the weather we had, first was Gordon’s pen, there was a few came from her

Them cartridges are expensive, so use them two boxes up on Saturday missing my flying chickens and to save you carting it back with you I’ll give you your 75 quid back ?

Don’t worry, I may expect it but the rest of them don’t have a problem letting me down, At first I thought it was out of respect for all my hard work, now I realise they are just sh*t shots ?

It was lovely up there today, clear blue sky and a little bit of heat in the sun, I keep checking the weather for Saturday hoping for a good day, I don’t know why because it will be what it will be and we’ll be there whatever the weather
