  1. Put the biggest bit of land down you can, also if the other land owners are happy for you to do so put there’s in the notes, a note from your foxing mate wouldn’t go a miss ether ?
  2. Did my duty today and showed my face up at the sheep farm for a go at the pigeons, not many about but they have battered a field of rape, did a few hours in the wind and rain, they wouldn’t decoy in that wind coming across the field low and fast, with a flick of a wing they were gone, but at least I got a couple for fox bait, they have started lambing now so the next week to 10 days as long as the weather is ok they’ll be out in the fields so a few evenings looking out over them might produce a fox or 2
  3. I look forward to all the seasons for different reasons, late warm summer evenings sat out in a t shirt after foxes on the stubble, late winter / early spring rabbit shooting, winter game season and autumn when the cubs are making their own way in life but are still as thick as sh*t, saying all that I’m getting a bit sick of winter now, I wouldn’t mind if it was proper winter, but it’s just wind and rain
  4. There’s a couple of larsens at the farm, forestry won’t let me put them in between the timber, because they are idiots
  5. I’d be ok if someone could go on a weekend, he’d maybe only ring me twice a week then ? we’ll sort a day out in the summer, me and Mosh have had some cracking days on the stubbles and when the winter drilling’s have gone in
  6. Yeah, now I’m done with the flying chickens I can get out and do what I want, other than a few visits to feed a bit I’m free now until August ??
  7. If the weathers good Sunday would be good for me if you are free ?
  8. They were roe that I seen on the ride, but there’s loads of fallow slots along the trees over the piggeries
  9. Fingers crossed, I used to have people knocking my door down for shooting and wanting to go out with me, now I spend most of my time out on my own and can’t give pigeon shooting away, sad times, if I can find someone decent and reliable it will lead to other opportunities for them, driven game, ruff shooting, foxes and the likes ?
  10. We’ve stopped shooting but we don’t stop feeding, still a good few about, so to all the people that think we just want to shoot them and once the season is over we stop everything ?? there’s a few deer knocking about now, the roe are the first to show, just as the light was fading there was 3 doe’s along the ride at Gordon’s pen, it’s nice been up there on my own again, it’s gone from been Saturday madness and running around like a nutter 3 days a week back to been peaceful and all mine again ?
  11. Pigeon shooting between Richmond and Darlington, it’s a small farm but I’ve had some good days here, you need to be able to go during the week, not just weekends, this could be a good pigeon shooting permission for the right person, PM me if you are interested ?
  12. Pigeon shooting on a small farm between Darlington and Richmond, must be able to go mid week not just weekends, this could be a nice little pigeon shooting permission for the right person, I’ve had some good days here but just can’t get there as often as the owner would like
  13. That’s a lovely clear image, the more I see the more I want one ?
  14. I thought I was a bit over dressed at the last .223 convention ?
  15. No, there’s 2 of us and we split the work between us so we’re not doing the same thing all day, the patio is just the start of the job, after this we’ve got sleeper walls to go in and resin driveway and paths, he won’t get any change for 30k, I’m hoping we get asked to go out to his house he’s just had built in Miami to do a bit of work there ? I like doing that Indian sandstone as long as it’s just the 4 pack sizes, I did some before that had a 5th size and it was proper random, the price of it has shot up over the past few months
  16. I thought the Burberry cap was customary attire for the .223 ?
  17. I’ve tried sending you a PM but it won’t let me, is your inbox full
  18. Started laying today, 82 quid a square meter ? better not break to many of them
  19. Love it when the lambs first go out, just sitting watching over them waiting for that cheeky fox to poke it’s head through a hedge for a look ? ??
  20. Nice view, terrible job, prepping for a very big patio and can’t get the digger in
  21. It’s getting a bit wild out, now they were asking me last night in the pub when I was sorting a squizzer day up at the shoot, they were asking about next Saturday, but I really would like a Saturday off from it all, so I might do the one after next
  22. Great write up, I love an unexpected invitation to do something you don’t often get the chance to do ?
  23. I have a few bags of wheat left at the farm so I’ll feed a couple of places until that’s gone ( probably until the beginning of spring) I’ll feed away from the pens because they are a mess with pheasant sh*t so I’ll let the weather take care of that until I spray them off later in the year for the last day of the season and not having loads left I was really pleased with the way it went ?
