Had a practice sesh today and tubes snapped on me, I thought a little premature tbh. So I emailed Simple Shot in the states , had a response within 15 minutes. They said the bands should have lasted longer. They said they would send me a free set out as compliments. Within another 15 mins an email they had processed the order. Absolutely outstanding customer service!! If only other companies were the same. I can’t recommend simple shot enough. Above and beyond.

I agree pal !!!! My grandfather would turn in his grave if he could see the mess we are in now

He gave them me before he passed away. Very proud to have them on my wall.

My grandfather on my dad's side was a spitfire pilot in ww2. Just 19 years old , went and did a crash course learning to fly in Canada then he was up there and at them. Got shot down by the Gerry, but luckily survived. He died when I was in my early teens. I remember a very clever switched on serious man, with all scaring to the side of his face from the shrapnel that hit him in the face when he got hit. The average life expectancy of a spitfire pilot during ww2 was apparently just 4 weeks. These fellas had balls of steel. After the army he went to become a small fairly successful businessman

Civil War, bit disappointing really. Was ok ish, I just expected it to be a really good film. You no when you hype something up in your mind then its disappointing. So it's a 5/10 for me. That's me Barry Norman saying goodnight.

How far north have boar travelled ?

Finally got arrows finished then a test run in front of kennels at beer cans at 10 meters. Was good fun lol

Next I got the slider things that you tie your line onto and then I drilled a small hole in the shaft of arrow and fitted a bolt ( am yet to put epoxy glue round bolts yet ) this bolt asks as a stop for your slider so you can reel targets inn

So for a bit of fun I purchased a reel seat and put a fishing reel on the slingbow. And purchased some slider things for the arrows. And had a crack at shooting beer cans in front of the kennels and reeling the cans back to me. Thinking that on my permission is a small river and I might make some floating targets and practice at hitting them on the move on the river and reeling them back into me for a bit of a crack and fun and summat a bit different than just practicing on the bag .

Yeah it's all interesting stuff, totally get were your coming from wandering around with a compound bow like Rambo. Them diablos look cool and bombproof and the starship should in theory generate more power. Got to admit I've really shortened the bands on mine to get as much power as possible, and there's no way I'm pulling this back regular with my fred elliot fingers, so the archery release aid makes it ten times easier and I get a good practice session in with out it fooking my shoulder up ! I always thought they was a bit of a gimmick, but I am proper impressed ! Coz at the end of the day

Yess pal I use a rangefinder, use to use it when practicing shooting at distance with my cattys. So has come in real handy while learning the slingbow. And ten yards would be ideal shot range , if we was in certain states in America were it's legal to hunt with a slingbow. Looks like the ideal way to shoot them is from a blind or tree stand and max range 20 meters of so. Would love to go abroad with an outfitter and do it. I find all the large game bow hunting on YouTube very exciting to watch. I was recently looking at mechanical broadheads. All very interesting stuff. Finally " while e

O don't worry we've been a nanny state for years Got to be honest am having so much fun learning the slingbow, but I do think knowing how to shoot a catty has helped. I think if I was in a country were you could hunt with one legally. With my novice understanding of them I think about 28 yards would be your maximum range with one. But are good fun down the garden.

No mate targets only for slingbow. So just some beer can blasting for me I'm afraid. But we are allowed to hunt with a slingshot though. Am surprised slingshot are banned over there.
-
Also I bought some foam tipped heads for shooting at home on beer cans , was quite good fun and hits them with a right wack and sends cans 3 foot up in the air. Nice bit of fun while trying get my eye inn.

20 meters

Bit more practice this morning. I took a shot to see how far an arrow will go off the slingbow before it drops. 55 meters it managed, obviously no power in the shot at that range . Here is a couple of groups at 15.5 meters then a crap group at 20 meters, need more practice at 20 meters

Nice shooting atb

Am the same with mine , if it's dry and burns it's going in ! And if it ain't nailed down it's in the van and coming home with me lol. Years ago while I was mooching about I found a council yard with logs in. So went back with my mate very early one Sunday morning and we dressed all in hi viz to look like council workers. We went in 2 cars with 2 wheel barrows and filled our boots. A couple walking there dog was suspicious and asked us what we was up to. I said I was on community service lol and cracked on and filled the car and van. We did the yard a good few times before it dried up. I wou

Just had a few packages arrive , one from the states direct from simpleshot. I got a spare band set , spare whisker biscuit and a rail and barrel mount to which I have attached a weighted front stabilizer too. To see if it helps me shoot a bit better and all the bits very reasonably priced. The rail and barrel mount would allow me to attach if I so wished a reel seat so it would take a fishing reel or a laser or a small lamp. I also got a few different type arrows to try to see which suits the slingbow and me the best. I got the correct draw length for myself and I got 3 of each 350 spine 400

I absolutely agree mate , a lot of field craft involved . Must admit I love watching it on YouTube.

Was on the spread myself for years and now av a bad shoulder myself so I totally know what you mean. Am practicing at about 11 yards and not doing to bad considering only been at it 4 days or so .

Watched this last night on tube , shot with a compound bow at 40 yards as it reared up on its hind legs . Look at the size of it !!!

O yeah lol that was it , cheers
