Scotland was news to me, but I am aware of a handful around the Henley on Thames area that escaped from a private collection a long while back now. They don't seem to be expanding much and very few sightings reported, they may be on the way out!

I have every expectation of there being all sorts of non native wildlife out there for various reasons. We all know about mink, various deer, grey squirrel, parakeet, various Crayfish, etc., etc., etc....BUT................ It all comes down to lifespan and the potential of breeding populations.

Another thought for you clever people, I have ALQ on my FAC, does that cover Racoons, are they a Lawful quarry? Looking at their status in the UK I guess they could be, but anyone know???

Ok, first one was caught, second lists as 2016, any idea what happened to it? What is their lifespan, and obviously 2 or more needed for a breeding population! Seems there may be one or two out there, but where on earth did a figure of 5000 come from, and do we have any recent sightings? Cheers Edit...just seen your 3rd listing, that was 2018 and caught!!!

....................anyway, do we have them in the UK?? It came as a bit of a surprise to me when I heard they were here, and 5000 in the wild!!!!!!! That is news to me, I've shot in many parts of the UK and not heard tales or seen any sign of them. Where are the pictures???
