  1. The PJ's are off now and it's not a pretty sight so no pictures! Camera's have shutter timers now ?
  2. Blasted chicken killers. 50 yards. 25yards. WMR S&B sphp 40grn ammo. U.
  3. ....with puny 410 loads today after an hour's decoying so I dug out my 410 reloading tools and knocked a few little thrutchers together. U.
  4. Hi fellas. Has anyone tried the umerex pumper? I want to replace my co2 morphed pistol when my stock of gas rust out, probably give it to a family not far away. I only want low power for garden duty. Is easy to break down? I will undoubtedly want to fiddle with it a bit. U.
  5. A friend of mine gave up his shotgun licence for the same reasons but with a rifle he is an excellent shot. And by the way, I am just an average shot myself. U.
  6. I love 44mag. I remember chipping small pebbles out the berm with near max loads every shot from a six inch Smith. I remember hunting rabbit and taking a fox with a buckmark too but that's another story........
  7. It was just how it was written buddy. That aside, I have seen some pretty lousy shooting from all types of guns. Millions vote for something regularly but it often does not full fill the hopes of the voter! Many think they can buy success, others are just decent shots ? U.
  8. Mate, you just contradicted yourself a few times and also implied a SxS does not kill as cleanly as an OU! I don't adhere to your comments sorry. U.
  9. Why does everyone start talking about killing people when it comes to handguns ? I for one would love to hunt with one so 5 shots in a 357 revolver would be just fine. Not interested in killing anyone. U.
  10. Yes, a little concerned about starting a fire with the front stuffers! Yes, I had this for sale for two years in a shop! It's a good gun, has some weight and should handle a heavy 2&3/4" case. I don't know why SxS aren't selling. There are some good bargains out there just now. U.
  11. It is still tight mate at full and a tight half. Before it was way to tight for its bores. Like full and super full. It was difficult to shoot and I suspected ruining patterns. Although still tight I seem to be connecting with it now! U.
  12. ...to the day. A brew, a part, some grub and a magpie with the morphed pistol. Quiet garden duty. U.
  13. It is a Ugartachea. Never removed the plates but think it is a sidelock. Good question, will have to check now....
  14. With it being breezy and slightly cooler I thought I would try my double that I recently opened the chokes slightly. I did ok with it, two magpies, two crows and two woodies. But the best was one of the woodies. Jess never noticed it drop in some long grass about 50yds away so I told her go get it pointing and off she went. Eventually she caught a scent and to my amazement she retrieved it to me!! That's a first! Good girl. U.
  15. Disqualified, also not a revolver round (40S&W)! U.
  16. Sounds like what I have. To much squinting through key holes when I was younger.
  17. Most people have what I think they call a stigmatism in that one eye can be not perfectly round and the focusing muscles get tired trying to compensate. I developed it a decade ago. My glasses made a huge difference. Have you had a test recently?
  18. You need glasses mate! A tiny piece of masking tape on the left lens of glasses will force the brain to use the right eye, it only need a tiny piece.
