  1. Oh mate, that was bloody hard work - like I said, it's so unnatural and everything is fighting is against you. I had to at least hit the target - I'd be in deep shit if I put pellet holes in the wall at work
  2. I saw this asked on another forum and, it struck me as a very interesting question. To me, I think that we like to help those that are genuinely in need but, if we think that someone is taking the piss, that's when the teeth come out. We'll help and support the underdog to the end but, Woe betide those that mistake kindness for weakness.
  3. That'll be a good un' to get another kid interested Mac What power is it putting it out? And, how does it feel to shoot?
  4. I must admit mate, I don't go for those type shots when I'm out with a springer if there's any other way. I much prefer some kind of support.
  5. Cheers Phil It did feel very alien. I've never tried it before so it was definitely a challenge. Being right handed, I thought I might have more control with that as the supporting arm but, I found that everything else fights against it. Give it a whirl mate - good luck
  6. Cheers Renos Have you managed to get back into it yet mate?
  7. I got to work nice and early this morning so, I thought, sod it, I'll practice some standing shots in the warehouse while no one else is here. I took the .177 HW97kt in and, after a few warm up shots, I took 10 shots at each target from 20yrds. Now, here's the bit I wanted to try - I did the first 10 shots right handed, then the second 10 shots left handed. ....... The left handed shots felt really feckin weird - everything about it was just odd - head position, stance, totally different kind of wobble. It took a lot of focus. ...... I don't think I'll be trying that too often.
  8. Also, as Scottish independence will effect the whole UK, Shouldn't the whole UK be voting on it?
  9. This is an opinion of hers hence the constant use of "I think" face it Joe, you're just not capable of debating this ubject. You are entirely incapable. I think our Joe's done alright ...... He's been fairly polite and well mannered in the face of some pretty harsh criticism on this thread Fair play Joe, atb mate.
  10. Back up for sale ....... £220 gets it
  11. Joe? Joe? I believe there are options to be in the single market and not part of the eu, EEA??? Yes Joe? That's what my parents thought all those years ago
  12. .177 is the way forward mate ..... Flat, precise and piercing. I love it for hunting. What are you getting?
  13. www.check-mot.service.gov.uk will give you some useful history and make you aware of any potential problems from recent MOT advisories. ...... all you need is the make and reg.
  14. Good to see the 98 in action Rez ....... I do like those. Nice shooting mate.
  15. Can you flatten the nick with a few gentle taps with a hammer Rich? I'd then use a little grease to hold them in place while I reassemble
  16. Same here mate - I drive past 3 shops to go to Wiltshire Shooting Centre Despite the drive, I'm glad you've found a good un' ............. They're worth the effort to keep them going
  17. Have you been bitten pal?A little bit mate ........... They had a scope advertised for a good price so, I rang up to order. The bloke on the phone took my payment and processed the order. I even paid extra for next day delivery. A few days later, nothing had arrived so, I rang up to check it. They said it hadn't been dispatched because I hadn't paid enough It turns out that they'd priced it wrong on their web site and, didn't even have the decency to call me to discuss it. It was just shit service and their attitude that got on my tits. I use Wiltshire Shooting Centre, Countryways
  18. Agreed, I've had a few bits of them in the past and they've always been spot on Just for the record - Sportsman Gun Centre can kiss my arse ...... They'll never get another penny from me.
  19. I'd rather be at a St Patricks day celebration at 1am than the f***ing Notting Hill carnival
  20. it was sound, had a bit of a kick but id got to grips with it and sub 5p groups were easily doable at 40yrd... and it could be pushed way past that!it'll be even smoother once I've cut a couple of coils out went out a few sundays ago, never put a post up but it worked well on the pigeons and squirrels I've had FAC air nagging away in the back of my mind for a while now. I've tried a .25 at near 50ftlb - that was an awesome beast. I've read some good things about TX Mk3s on some of the yank sites. Simon does well with his . Phil loves his Impact. I think the time for a cab
  21. I don't understand why they'd shoot them and leave them - if someone needed to poach, there's a lot of meat on a deer. c**ts.
  22. Get one on a spit and get the beers out mate Good hunting.
  23. Oops Out of curiosity mate, what was it like to shoot? While I was going through a lot of trial and error with tuning my .22 TX, I discovered by accident that it ran really nice around 18ftlb.
  24. Yes, indeed, from this Englishman, have good saint paddys day
