  1. Cheers dude, sorry I only just noticed this, like my bands my internet is a bit dark ages as well ??
  2. When you say you don’t use a frame are you using a finger hold or have you just stopped shooting, it’s not to do with cost why I buy Chinese, I have quite a lot of nice natural hazel forks that cost nothing just don’t like seeing these so called big names sticking the knife in to the Chinese market then endorsing people like dangkung and gzk who just repackage the same gear get a few names on board to endorse it and slag off everything else, it’s the greed aspect I don’t like, I think all kids should have a catty but at £50/£60 notes a pop it won’t happen, people like acer Wilson who hand craf
  3. I guess they just no and understand there dogs? I have dogs and baby,s in my house together regularly but they all understand the rules, the owners are to fault not the dogs and many of these cases are typical back street council house dog breeders, it’s lower risk than selling drugs, they have no interest in walking, socialising or even feeding a decent meal, I,d rip someone’s head off if they expected me to spend my life in a shed eating shite and knocking out baby’s like a machine, dogs like baby’s are a blank canvas when you get them and how you treat them is going to have repercussions fo
  4. Here’s something I find from time to time, found this one yesterday morning, buzzards turn rabbits into a sock by eating out the inside normally start with a small hole by the shoulder for the vital organs before taking the rest out the back end guess it’s the organs first incase they loose the meal, buzzards are pretty common round here unlike big cats yet I,ve only ever found a couple of these, just saying ?
  5. Think those are scare story,s put out by people that sell catty,s for a living have been using cheap Chinese catty,s for a while and not ever seen one break my current rig is a cheap £6 one and have done some pretty good shots with it no problem and my son can do some of the worlds best fork hits and he,s never broke one, I change the bands because I like a slightly bigger pouch and longer draw but if you only draw back to your face the ones supplied will do the job until you get something else ??
  6. I,ve had transits from mark 1 onwards and they have gone 14” 15” 16 so pretty much all sizes if you have a twin wheeler on the back axle you will need to keep the skinny front tyres for if you have a puncture and need to swap a front and back over the tyres are a bit thinner on the twin wheelers to stop them touching when you have a load on and they spread a little on the bottom ??
  7. There are a lot of cases of calling but if you record it there is no way of proving were it was, a few people on the podcast have heard them calling I also have an app on my iPad that is used by American hunters for calling in predators has several rabbit distress calls, puma coyote and a few others have had a few hair raising experiences playing the puma call in an old disused quarry something I,ve only recently started doing but definitely think it has some legs, if you can work out when an animal will be in an area ?
  8. Get one or two mother and cub sightings most years and even two large cats together would be either a mother and adult cub or a breeding pair as they are relatively solitary animals ?
  9. In truth I just looked at the headline and thought released pet, be nice if it was the real deal though
  10. Think the laws here are a bit tighter but I did here around a dozen get seized a year being smuggled in, which beggars the question how many get through, ?
  11. Sadly it’s probably not, we have an ongoing situation in Spain, a landowner has seen a black cat his dustbin has been ripped to shreds etc but the cat was dumped about 18 months ago in a remote area and has just hung around scavenging there behaviour will show you if they are truly wild or pet releases etc it helps keep the gene pool topped up if they don’t get killed or captured though ??
  12. I buy my stuff in sheets and cut it myself so usually have around a years worth in the man cave with tubes as well so if it’s still the dogs danglies next year I might give it a go, easier to try different things when you are buying pre mades I guess i might try a few I also try a few different non named exercise bands when I see them and cut them down to try but not found any that were better than tbg
  13. Around 200 gravel pits and the river Thames there’s plenty to go at mate also got everything else from water skiing to archery some nice lodges on Cotswold hoburn you can take the family and fish from the balcony if you want a base to explore from ??
  14. I used to but it gets a bit to clickie for me prefer more wild waters were it’s you against the fish and not you against the fish and Everyman with a fishing rod, there is a lot of lovely spots up there but a lot of things are kept tight amongst little groups , my son loves it up there it’s his second home he fish,s fri to Sunday most weeks
  15. If it’s not to far to travel the Cotswolds water park is rich with big perch due to the signal crayfish that abound, I know of one pit that’s being kept very quiet that has done several fish over the British record ??
  16. The main problem with that for me is I,m a bit of an old school type and if something is working for me I won’t change it until something new has been around for a long time and proved itself to be better, problem with the gzk stuff is all the names in catty shooting are using and promoting it because they get a little deal so they will tell you it’s great even when it’s not, I still shoot as much stuff with the tbg as I ever did and don’t see it as being as useless as the names are making it out to suddenly be, have also heard plenty of people moaning that gzk was breaking after a few shots,
  17. I find the latex ones are better than the black, pretty much my favourite tubes have been through a lot of different stuff but the amber 1745 is the cheapest and one of the best I,ve used, ?
  18. You start by coming to the conclusion the photo is fake after I put it up as an example of a fake ???then it’s a no to going and speaking with people who can show you how wrong you are, a comparison to ring ouzels and another meaningless link, I,ve tried but think it easier to just ignore. You just put a comparison to the lock ness monster, really shows the limits you are working with good luck in what ever your into you,ll be needing it
  19. Alright dar sorry about the pm cleared box out and got it, when I was a kid we used to buy the black square stuff for 10p a foot in the hardware store and a leather boot tongue for 2p for a pouch I saw some a while back and bought a meter but f**k me I can barely stretch it, after using modern tubes and flats it’s amazing we ever hit anything I just look at it now as a reminder, was getting quite fed up with the flats breaking all the time but now with these cheap Chinese forks you can just carry a few sets and change them in seconds if they break it’s just a little thumb screw and its done,
  20. Think shooting a moving dog with a single shot bolt action lee Enfield whilst his mates are making up ground on you fast ain’t really an option, would also think that once word of the dogs gets out poachers will probably avoid the area because like most thieves they are always looking for an easy target ??
  21. Like it ,,saw something on tv a while back about the project, be great to have a go maybe they could create some more tourist revenue by allowing trophy hunters to come and tree a poacher ??
