Bought my first air gun from the old lady’s club book Wembley hawk mk3 we could also by shotgun cartridges as kids from the local gun shop no problem and used to fire them with the air rifle by sticking them on the end of the barrel, well shakey but brilliant fun as a young teenager, even when gun licences came in you would still only get a slap on the wrist and loose your gun if you got caught, could also buy 10 chews for a penny ????

There is something very magical when you are totally in your element, no were every little gap in the hedge is or tree over a stream and can move around un noticed without the need for a big torch or to keep in touch with others through mobiles and walkie talkies, I could run a bit in my youth but don’t need to now I,m older and wiser ??

I was out having a little wander round somewhere I was not meant to be a while back and went a little to close to the perimeter fence of a local chemical giant and must have set off some form of motion detector as I had several pick up trucks racing across the fields in my direction within minutes, but while I was sat in a hedge with the dogs dressed in real tree I had a load of security personal dressed in high viz trying to avoid puddles looking for me, communicating with each other using hand signals, I sat there for 30mins pissing myself laughing before slipping off through the hedge and b

I send a lot of parcels all over the globe and normally just get asked things like has it got batteries or liquids in so think you will be fine, I also often lie just because I can’t be arsed to explain why I,m sending a catapult or something else across the globe, I posted a big chainsaw to new Zealand a while back and apart from the cost it was pain free so a set of kitchen knives I would suspect would go off no problem ???

Rabbits were not worth skinning as one of my main customers was Bristol zoo and a lot of the animals need the fur and bones as part of there digestion though I expect people would have bought them, main fur income was off Fox’s at between £15/£25 per pelt, squirrels tails, hare masks and jays wings went for fly tying at 50p a pop and clean rabbits were 50p at the game dealer, Everything had value back then when people were more normal I could sell a van load of rainbow trout at a quid a pop in the pubs no problem, same with birds and deer, folk like to click and collect these days, it’s easier
