Like the Cotswolds mate large expanses of open wild land close to big city’s were places people let them go, it’s why there are small clusters the length and breadth of the country, the land dictates wether they stay or move on look at old maps of an area and it’s easy to see

Nothing exciting I,m just a bit of a technotard so am after a little help, my son went to the famous wraysbury lake this weekend fishing nothing moosive to report but there is a nice little video of the weekend on Facebook and as I normally post pics of his catches up in the view from your swim section on the fishing thread I was wondering if someone would be good enough to try and do it for me, this is a screen shot of the site and the video in question thank you in advance if someone could assist

Same as that mate £50 up the local abattoir and I can feed half the marina with good food, or get two mediocre meals in a pub,with no drinks it’s a no brainier really, have done £500 on a 7 course sea food meal in a lovely restaurant before and don’t regret it for a moment but it’s not me on a regular basis

Well I had an absolutely lovely weekend, some watched the king and wept some never, but we all had a great few days in good company with plenty of fine food and beverage, never felt any different when it was all over and my bank balance doesn’t seem to have been affected by all the pomp and ceremony so I,m glad it happened, hope those of you who chose to sit indoors with the curtains shut posting memes and crying not my king had an equally enjoyable weekend, roll on the next one??

Remember climbing the railings and diving off the cliffs from a very Earl age mate, 76 when it nearly dried up, night fishing with an old bycicle lamp on your float tip until the battery’s ran out, probably spent a large percentage of my youth there as a kid that and badock was the nearest thing to the countryside we ever saw ??

None of its rocket science really, it’s just about taking all control, let country people deal with country matters and if we did we would not need a badger cull , or marksmen shooting piles of pigs,hares and deer etc governments react in a knee jerk way constantly swinging from one extreme to another instead of finding a happy medium, it’s how they remain in power, if everyone was happy and living there best life we would soon realise how much we don’t need them so never expect common sense to prevail

After two days of Barbies, drink and smoke needed a good walk and some clean air saw two cuckoos and heard a further two my first swifts of the year and a variety of different geese, walked along the frome through the frampton court estate and out on to the foreshore and towpath at splat before coming back along the canal past the old Cadbury’s factory were the coco and chocolate were loaded and unloaded the crane was my starting point ? -

Never done an organised swim but have had a few cold dips, there’s a big lake by me that has an area sectioned off for wild swimming I may join this year as I want to get the grandkids swimming due to living on the boat ?

Like a true trooper I,m up clearing up from last night and getting ready for round 2 kitchen tidy, a half mile walk with the dogs to the bins clean the cobb out and start all over again, or I could just sit indoors being miserable shouting not my king while posting pathetic pointless little memes on social media to make me feel better about my sad and pathetic life, decisions decisions decisions ????
