  1. I would have been the same about flat elastic on a catty to be honest mate ?
  2. Can’t stand Scottish whiskey but an odd glass of Jameson’s Irish whisky is rather palatable ?
  3. She was live on air when she saw it mate doing the ramblings radio program think you can still find the program online she’s also been on the podcast talking about it I was meant to meet her but it was at the start of covid and it never happened limited numbers and social distancing etc ?
  4. I get that 100% mate but I,m also aware of first impressions and to most people the first thing they think when they see me is p***y, I,ve had people lock there car doors when I,ve stopped to help them and also lots if people try to pay you as they seem to think it’s your motive for helping but I still always do it also pick up a few hikers on my travels as well, I,m quite a believer in karma and as arry says goes round comes round ?
  5. The whole family are on it and I,m in a bit more of a rural setting than many but we are clocking up some good stuff captured a bullfinch and reed warbler yesterday had a stonechat few days back plus the cuckoo, quite funny but several of my immediate neighbours are quite serious hells angels and I have got quite a few of them on it, pretty amusing when I bump into them all excited about there latest bird they recorded they had a kestrel yesterday ?
  6. Ok Eddie your getting there, you now need to look at the most prestigious cat to own back then and the country’s that supplied the pet trade with them also despite more of sandys wild claims the environment here is more in keeping with the naturally habitat of a black leopard ie wooded and shaded and dark as opposed to the spotted variety that is more suited to open grasslands,
  7. No just a few of you but the one with the biggest mouth was making all the noise as normal, it would be very simple for Tim our resident thermal no it all no nothing to just go and film a house cat at about 20 meters and show you all how much of the tail comes up in the footage because unless you have a tail the thickness of a mans arem it won’t even by Tim’s own admission a fox’s tail won’t show on thermal, though his kit does look a bit dated by comparison
  8. Basically it’s just more I’ll informed nonsense from our medical expert sandy black leopards can only throw black offspring so they will never revert to spotty ?
  9. Still lying to stay in the game, it’s like the kid at school that no one liked lying to try and fit in whilst just making everyone hate them more, anyway off out to enjoy the sun and leave you to another day of insane ramblings, your screen must be covered in spit and dribble while the dogs cowering in the corner ??
  10. Swan was attacked on the nest and had 10 eggs stolen a while back but she has rebuilt and is trying again, 4 eggs last night when I had a peak the cormorant only has one wing and has been here for a few years and the river frome in the morning sun
  11. ,,I think you both need to give your heads a little shake if you think we would or are desperate enough to try and invent something like this, mr minter despite some of your accusations is as honest a man as I’ve met but if we wanted to start faking these things just look through the podcasts at some of the guests, there are people from India, America and Canada as well as zoo keepers and vets, so we could certainly do a much better job than a single strand of hair on a barbwire fence another point that some of you have made is the hair was planted there but as there are no known living black
  12. I think the main problem that is clear to see from anyone looking in is that you are a total walloper of a man with a very small circle of friends and not really the kind of go to guy you think you are and nobody would really want to share anything with you so you will just continue bumbling along in the dark thinking your right and making a lot of noise but without ever doing anything about anything that’s why we have quite a few of these and you will probably be the last man in England to be let in on the secret
  13. The big difference here mate is I saw something myself that I could, not explain so I got off my arse and put in the miles to find out more and during that journey I have seen enough and met enough people to know I,m right I saw a black leopard in Dorset no doubts no ifs no buts it was close and daytime, but that just opens more questions were did it come from how did it get there etc so it’s not a conclusion but just the beginning, there is also no doubting they have bred here in the wild as I have seen the evidence but the big questions are simply are there enough to sustain a population are
  14. I think there is clearly a lot of misunderstanding of the problem here probably clouded by those people that just jump on a band wagon and claim to have them undiagnosed my misses has genuine panic attacks usually brought on in the car, many years ago she took part in a 6 month trial at the bri, she was put forward for it by her doctor because he said she was as bad a case as he had seen, now I would suggest that it is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain because the misses would be given something when she went there that would trigger the attacks so they could study her, sadly after
  15. I think in the past poisons were used to eradicate species along with the other types of hunting which is why it would be hard today to eradicate anything as we are not so free with our use of poisons
  16. Can you see what it is now lol

Well it’s only a little crescent so not very old 2/3 days but still nice to look at I,m not an astrologer just like outside ?
  18. Just to give some perspective there are an estimated 30,000 mountain lions in 15 us states same number as urban fox’s in the uk yet still most of the human population have never seen one imaging trying to find one of 300 in over 3 country’s of the uk and you may just start to understand the size of the task

    Night sky

Daughter was out on the canal over the weekend moored up in the middle of nowhere with no light pollution and had some pretty good shots of the space station going over as well, I love sitting out on the roof in the early hours when everyone is asleep and watching a good sky, always something going on from satelights planets and shooting stars, makes you realise just how insignificant we really are in the bigger picture

  21. I tend to cut much bigger than I need, then just trim it down as you go, I do like to cut the tips in one straight cut rather than each one separate, usually do my cutting Oct to jan if I see a nice fork then just chuck them in a box to make up as and when, the wood has less moisture in during winter months so won’t split when drying probably have more bare forks than I will ever use will get a pic next time I’m at the house ?
  22. Thank you mate much appreciated, ?
  23. Well it looks like it’s finally happening at last let’s hope the judges don’t ruin this one
