I have a friend, he’s in his 70s a proper old adventurer he goes up to Canada to follow the ice melt back in his canoe every so often, and told me of a time he had landed on an island walked up the beach when he saw a baby grizzly bear on the edge of cover but before he could move off the mother came charging out of the undergrowth stood up on her back legs, he said despite all the training he took one look at the can of bear spray and one at the 8 ft grizzly running toward him and just legged it said no way was he going to wait for it to get to him to squirt it with an aerosol can, made it b

22 here at the mo, but I think nature works more to the hours of daylight than the weather, birds are still migrating etc leaves may stick around a bit longer but they seem to react quicker to weather change only a month or so ago they were shedding limbs to conserve water hoping as usual for a good cold winter with lots of snow but will make good of whatever comes along

I assume being brought up with terriers gives my runners a bit more aggression but I have never had a dog that wouldn’t guard or steam in if needed, my current boy is as soft as shit around me and mine, but the other week a girl came to visit us that has known the dog since I,ve owned him, I never lock the door and she thought it would be funny to come in and surprise us when we got back however she was sat on the top of the boat and the dog wouldn’t let her down, he also nailed a scag head that jumped in the back garden years ago, a dog is a pack animal and should fight and guard its own pack

Back to bath for a chat with the judge again, it really is the nicest place to be summoned to the vagistrates are just along by pultney bridge and weir, but always nice to come back down off the Cotswolds to the floor of the Severn valley and home -
Buttered chicken for tea tonight and very nice it was

Couldn’t really say mate just a strange desire from those with the power, I mean they were talking about wolfs s while ago and I don’t think you need to be David Attenborough to see how that would pan out, it’s a shame that as with most departments now they put idiots in charge with quotas to reach and no understanding of the real issues, I think you need to look at why an animal went extinct before just breeding loads and chucking them out into the same situation, the people breeding and releasing otters had no concern for there welfare just wanted to claim otter in every county they released
-
Out of likes but good post that
-
Don’t always believe what they say mate they are breeding and releasing predators around the country at an almost agricultural rate, first otters then polecats now pine martins popping out the woodwork everywhere, beavers to colonising every corner of the country miles from any official release sites the mad scientists playing god will be the undoing of everything one day

There coming out the Severn a few mile above me on a semi regular basis, interesting to see what the future brings, it only took 40 years for the Ebro to become what it is from an original stocking of 40 cats I think

I will just Cary on using my own eyes and common sense thanks some of us don’t need telling which foot goes in front the other to walk, last week in work as I mentioned the vaccine team were in dishing out there miracle cure for everything,, Friday all bar one member of staff were agency because no one could come in due to being unwell, me I just carry on happy in my own immunity, it’s no sweat or bother and as I have said from the very start I can always take it if the evidence ever suggests im wrong but you can never untake it if it turns out you were wrong, which looking at the excess 1000

Bless you Mac, I may have my fabrics mixed up but think I,ll stick to what the military of the world have worn for years along with nomadic dessert people and camel jockeys rather than what the posh tourist wears on his park walks, but cheers anyway
