  1. You would struggle to find one that stops, turns, and explodes as good as one as well. they have their flaws, but if you have ever owned a good. sound one, you know their worth, I cross all mine with deerhound/ grey/ 3/4 whippet these days, but I would own another pure whippet in a heartbeat.
  2. Had my first 1/2 Bull 1/2 Grey in the late 70's, and the breeder said they were third generation, a bit like this dog, bit more grey
  3. You can only catch what is there mate, well done TD thz for sharing
  4. Back at Pauls today, had 17 in the bag in just a few hours, also took a look at some of the newly acquired ground, for future outings, all in all another fantastic day out with the dogs, ferrets and nets. Life is good. Enjoy Guy's

  6. Introducing Stumpy the latest addition to my ferret family, from all the kits sold so far this year, she is the only one I have kept, a beautiful type and very outgoing little Jill, I’m sure you will see a lot more of her as time goes on.
  7. DH's using wrong breeds Pig hunted flat out north of bundy and west 10 years+ never lost a dog to heat stroke HealerX bulls and stick near water
  8. It happens a fair bit, mainly snakes. I havn't lost one yet , been close a few times touch wood
  9. I pick my days, start at sun up usually home for lunch. even in winter our ground is hard in comparison. we got 35+ next few days Thursday morning ismy next planed morning, sunup 12 celsius
  10. I think they have plenty of time to acclimatise, same with hard ground we don’t seem to get as many injuries, not saying we don’t get them but you would think running them on Aussie sun backed ground the injury rate would be at least double but it isn’t my whippet/dh has had little to no injury been running since a pup and that is par for the course from my experience.
  11. Recently I re acquired my pink eyed Jill, here is a little bit of recent footage of why I always liked her.
  12. Import Aussie dogs, they are just tougher - Doug ducks. incoming!
  13. I’ve owned a few of these over the years had a couple that were a little half hearted, and two that were my pride and joy at the time, the good ones are very good, a little slower to mature than the staghound cross, but worth the wait if you get a good one. PS I could be wrong but they look a bit deerhoundy to me, I would own one going on the looks.
  14. It wasn’t an easy choice at the time Arry, she has only just turned two, and comes from strong working lines, But the guy who had the buck I was after insisted on two of my doe’s for his buck + $100 AUD, I agreed with the assurance I would get at least one of her Jill offspring, and or sell her back to me after breeding. The buck I used should improve my line, with new blood and some nice type traits. It all worked out well in the end.
  15. For those that follow my YouTube, will remember about 4 months ago I reluctantly sold my pink eyed Jill, the guy I sold her to, bred her this year, kept some of her young, said she was a good mum, anyway I managed to buy her back and she seems very happy to be home, and so am I.
  16. Win Win You could end up with a good dog and a happy Mrs :-)
