Yes, Humberside are 'clearing' land, in fact I submitted a listing of all our perms so that they can check them out before I put in for a .223 / ,243. We did this as there was a huge backlog of enquiries/processing so my pal and myself asked the licensing dept to remove them off our variation request as we wanted the wmr rifles quickly and could come back to the .223/.243 later this year. I have not bothered about chasing things up with the corvid 19 issues, no point in being a prick or at least more so than usual ? Phil

Yes I lost the site a few times over the last couple of weeks but it seems to be just the THL as other forums I am on were fine. Phil

Yes I have two, good scopes and yes it comes with side wheel. They are not the lightest scope and worth looking at the Compact version which are really nice just smaller and lighter. All Airmax scopes work well with add-on NV units. Phil

My pal and myself bought CZ WMR rifles a few weeks before the lock down so had limited use but I have to say my pal took a fox with a nice clean kill and we have had a few rabbits along with target work and we are both really pleased with these guns, Quieter than the .17HMR. Phil

To be very honest, I love my Impact in .25 and I do have a slot for a spaer barrel in .22 because I loved the .22 round in the Rapid fac I used to have. At 28fpe it was a cracker but I prefer to use the Impact so I sold the Rapid. I have not needed the .22 barrel BUT I would like one. Phil

HW57 LATEST UPDATE............................... As I said yesterday, I had collected two more 57s to test but first off I bought a .177 cleaning rod set and a hawke 3-9x40 AO scope which is a touch lighter than the Mamba Lite but an inch shorter which is a major advantage with the 57 pellet loader unless you have ladies fingers, hmmm this could get tricky.................. The tests :- Each rifle was used with both hawke then Mamba scopes with them all being fed JSB Exact 4.52 pellets. I had serious doubts about the Mamba scope but it turned out that the scope was in fact perf

I think you may well be right there Jon. ? The stock will be done during the winter because this coronavirus is going to be around for a while and this little rifle is my entertainment in the garden as plinking in the garden with my Impact is no fun, way tooooo accurate whereas this little bugger is a challenge to an old tart like me who is not springer man at all so I hope this all comes together. Phil

What is the scope you have on the rifle FF, it looks like a Leapers Bug Buster, if so what do you think of them. Oh yes while I think about it, my Combro will not fit at all in any direction so the new FX radar chrono might be coming my way sooner rather than later, I have never liked the Combro anyway so no love lost there. Now then Jon, it seems ages since you were on mate, good to hear from you. There is something about the 57 that I really like, I do know they have their issues and the pop up loader is not popular with a number of people. My pal was trying to load pellets in it with most being on the ground but after a few hundred shots through it, I am starting to get quite comfortable with it but can see it needs to be handled just so . I have got all three 57s that had been returned to the shop so I can try all of them to see if there is a difference between them and keep the best. I hope it

Oh I am sure I can find someone Jimmy ? Phil

My chrony is a Combro which doesn't fit the barrel on the HW57 which is a pain, if the shops were open I could run it through the RFD Skan unit. I have taken the scope of and fitted a dovetail to weaver rail with a stop screw and changed the scope over. With a few bits of tape to bring the scope up along with a few bits of aluminium can to adjust side movement, I have managed to now bring the zero withing a hairs breath of the aim point. I have put through a load of pellets today which I think is starting to lead the barrel as I am getting far better groups although not there yet, it is i

Well I have cleaned the barrel with cleaning pellets (I had forgotten how bloody loud they are, bit like a pcp without a mod fitted) and tested again with similar results. It has to be said that I have an issue with the scope as I needed to build up the front mount as the scope was maxed out both fully down and fully to the left. So now I have up/down movement but no movement on R/L and there is no room to pack the mount so that is that. I have never had this issue before so there may be a problem with this scope, I have no knowledge of it as it was given to me and this is the first time I ha

Here she is. That stock will look sooooo much better in green with a nice oil finish. I should have taken a photo of the other side as it has a few small tiger stripes on although quite small but better than nothing.

Just found a box of cleaning pellets so that is the first job. I have a few FTT Simon so will try them, Thanks. Phil

To my shame Mitch, I didn't, too bloody eager to test it. I don't think I have any felt cleaning pellets and as it is not possible to run a pull through with this gun, I am buggered. I will have a look through my bits drawer tomorrow to see if I still have some in .177 Valis point Mitch and a schoolboy error on my part. ? Phil

I picked it up today popped on my Mambe Lite and tried some JSB Exact pellets. The results were a little unusual to say the least, I zeroed at 15mt which is the length of my cottage garden and I got it more or less spot on..............then it would jump three or four inches.....................................why, fcuk knows. I had a chat with Si Brown and during the discussion it became a possible issue on how the pellet was loaded in the pop up mag, so I went away to try some more shots holding the gun level while loading the pellet and that seemed to work quite well. My scope was m

I am so very sorry to hear this sad new BC, it seems the 'homes' are just not geared up for this awful virus and at the cost of it's old residents. I do wonder just how much blame is being aimed at the home owners because they are making some serious money and perhaps are not too quick to gear up for the people who have the virus. Phil

Right as I have been fancying a springer for garden use and the range when it opens again and possibly getting rid of bloody magpies that kill off all the young song birds, I managed to get hold of an HW57 in .177 flavour. Now as I have banged on before about one that I tried and loved but didn't buy it and have regretted it ever since sooooo as we are all at home passing the time, I really wanted the challenge of the springer instead of wasting pellets going through the same hole over and over with the .25 Impact so I have been on the lookout for another 57. Yesterday I was chatting with my
