  1. Perhaps a talk through on method, woods and times would be of interest from you boys Phil
  2. That is some serious result, well shot Sir. Phil
  3. I had 20mins on the range with an R10 full length on Saturday. Accurate but quite numb just no feel but I have to say I would like to try the super carbine. I can take the full length version off my wish list as I just wouldn't want one having now had a play wwith one. Phil
  4. ha ha, what did I say to you the other day Chris, mind you, I do have just a hint of envy as well. Phil
  5. Well done you having a loving wife and an HW100KT. The Mulberry bags can be considerably more than your gun...........................trust me. Phil
  6. Thanks Chris, I might have a trip over there. Phil
  7. What a bugger Chris but the response from Redbeck is very special, I doubt many RFD's would go that extra mile. Where is Redbeck Phil
  8. You guys are making me feel much better, perhaps not so much an 'age thing' Phil
  9. Hell fire Mitch, I thought I was bad at least I can blame age. Phil
  10. I went up to my perm this morning as the woodies are starting on the peas. I set up the hide, yes happy with that. I placed a dozen deeks and a couple of crows out in the field, looks ok, yes happy with that got my seat tub and flask into the hide, yes happy with that Get the HW100 out of the car................no fecking pellets or mag Fortunatley, I had one of my shotguns in the car as a back up so the day was not lost but not as I planned it. Oh well it's an age thing, still shot a few woodies although they were in small numbers this morning. Strange thing, The first
  11. I have a feeling you will NOT get away with that Jimmy..................... Phil
  12. Jimmy, I know you told me about the method to lighten my TX stock but in all honesty, I can't remember, would you please PM me the instructions as well mate. Phil
  13. So you spray into the tin without washing first. Do you find bits of lead sticking to the pellets at all. I am most interested in this method you use. Phil
  14. I am sticking with the AA Express or in the JSB guise Simon. I am sure you will find one sooner or later. Phil
  15. The pellets seem to be ongoing but it might be in name only ????? Phil
  16. Strange how pellet choice varies so much with the same make/model of gun.
  17. Funniley enough, I bought a tin of superfields for my HW100KT, nothing short of shocking. Whilst Weihrauch state 4.51 pellet size on the action, having tried several at that size including AA Fields, the result is very poor groups however 4.2 and 4.3 generally work fine. Phil
  18. Cheers me dears............................onward and upward as they say. Phil
  19. Who is a clever boy Mark................ http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/215285-25mm30mm/ Phil
  20. I am finding hard to shoot the TX with any real purpose but I can honestly say, even though at times it is a bit frustrating, I am really enjoying the process and it seems to really like AA Express pellets. Phil
  21. Yes the black dot is 8mm approx and whilst I have a looooooong way to go, I am not too unhappy with that. Still not ready to take you guys on but bit by bit better, well let's face it, wouldn't be worse. Phil
  22. I went up to the range today to practice with the TX and after a zeroing session (top left) for 25mt, slowly and steady, things started to look a bit better. The last group of 12 shots proved to be the best so I packed up and left while feeling good about an improvement. I changed my hold on the gun as well today which seemed to make a difference. Phil
  23. I saw that episode as well Tom and they do seem good value for money but I have not looked through one so no idea how good is the image from that glass. It was a thought for my wife's gun but she got a Leapers Bug Buster instead which suits her need very well. Quite a few on ebay I'm not well experienced to know if 30mm glass is better, logic says more light to reach the eye but I don't see any difference in brightness between my 25mm Hawke and my 30mm MTC buy there again, I have not used them in the gloom of an evening so perhaps that is when the 30mm comes into it's own. Phil
  24. Thanks Mitch, it just might be easier to get hold of these. Phil
  25. Countryway and uttings are out of stock at present so she will be using the AA field for the time being. Just been advised that FAP is in fact JSB Exact Jumbo RS, so they might be available. Have you tested them Mitch and if so, do they perform as well as FAP in .22. Phil
