  1. To be honest Si, the Impact doesn't do it for me, perhaps a little too military for me although extremely clever and a friend in London has the first in the UK and loves it but the Wildcat has been in my mind for some time now and after shooing one at the Game Fair last week, I am smitten with them...........................I WILL HAVE ONE, NEED MORE MONEY....... Phil
  2. I do like my laminated stock on the HW100KT but to be honest, I am really careful in the field with it, too careful perhaps. If buying the gun again, it would be a walnut stock for durability. I think I may end up using it for target stuff instead of field use and my soon to be Rapid and hopefully a Wildcat will be the field guns. I'll get me hat and duck. Phil
  3. I would love to do a stock in your green or you do it perhaps Nath Phil
  4. 11.5stone Mitch, that is the weight of my left leg . Actually I have lost a bit, don't know where the hell I put it but I dare say I will find it again. Phil
  5. This looks such a good position and thought I would give it a try Mitch, With knackered knees, I had all on to get back up and to be honest I found it uncomfortable. I will go back to free hand or sticks........Pity but it is what hapens when you become an OLD TART (still young at heart though) Phil
  6. As soon as I saw the green stocks Nath, I knew who you were and which forum. Love the work you have done that I have seen and really want a green stock they look superb. Now we have two stock men. Phil
  7. David, providing you have ticked the appropriate boxes at the top of the form and supplied 2 refs, you have covered it mate. Are you applying for both or is one or both a renewal. Phil
  8. Couldn't agree more and we are not the only ones as the police I spoke to are of the same opinion Mark. Phil
  9. Deposit is already paid, just waiting for approval from those gentlemen in blue. Phil
  10. Just a closing comment guys, I do already have an approved cabinet for my shotguns and the police have done an inspection and advised that I can keep an FAC in that cabinet but would require a second steel cabinet for live ammo and as my wife has a shotgun in that same cabinet, a trigger lock will suffice on an FAC air gun without having to install a separate cabinet. The point that some of you are missing is that I would like to have an FAC rifle.......................................IT IS THAT SIMPLE and doesn't require justification nor am I wasting my time and should buy a live ammo r
  11. Have a look at 'Best Fittings' latest catalogue Dave, they also make a unit to fit Rapids as well as Tawnado guns. £100 for a quick fill/gauge unit item number 03T1-QF01 Phil
  12. The 28fps Rapid is not the be all and end all Mark, it just happens to be a gun in the RFD that I fancy. To be honest, higher fps rated rifles are within reach if I get the FAC but I'm not too concerned if I don't get it and carry on as normal. As already said in the other post, I have seen some lovely FAC air rifles which in my area do not carry a fitting price tag therefore, having an FAC ticket gives me access to some very well priced guns that I may not be able to afford otherwise. Will having an fac rifle make me a better shot, of course not but it is an aspect of airgun shooting tha
  13. Why FAC. It seemed to me to be another aspect of air rifle shooting which interested me. I also noticed just how many FAC airguns were around at very good prices, mainly because of a smaller buying market. My shotgun license was comming up for renewal and thought it made sense to combine the two at a cost saving and the farmer whose land I shoot on had no issues with me using FAC rifles, air or live ammo although I have no interest in live ammo rifles. I am NOT going down this avenue to increase range although I guess that may be posible but having the extra power brings it's own merrits
  14. Now then Mark, that sounds like you might just be fancying one yourself..... I had the police round on Wednesday evening to check up on me for the renewal of my shotgun license/application for an FAC ticket, I hope I get it so I can go and pick up the FAC Rapid Mk2 that is sat waiting in the RFD for me to collect. Phil
  15. Having been today, I am really impressed with how this company has taken up the slack from the CLA Game Fair and the short lived replacement to the CLA, UK Game Fair. The show was not as big as the CLA but well laid out and organised. The sad part was the lack of airgun presence apart from the range where a few guns were available but not many which is a real shame. I did however have a couple of magazines through an FX Wildcat which pleasd me no end as I have wanted to try one for quite a while and my first impressions..........................fecking BRILLIANT. Phil
  16. Well I just got back from the game fair and spent some time looking at the 970, yukon and ATN oh yes and Nite Site but leaning towards a dedicated unit rather than an add on although I do not exclude the Ward but they were not at the show. It wont be a Pulsar however as they are way beyond my reach. I have bought a new IR torch to start with so something to try. Phil
  17. I know, I know Mitch but 3+ times the price.............if only I was not retired, it might be different. Phil
  18. Thanks Tom, I will pop the back off mine to establish what camera is used and take it from there. Phil
  19. How about this Tom http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NIGHT-VISION-KPC-E700PUB-SONY-CHIPSET-CAMERA-700TVL-2D-DNR-ATR-WDR-/232022649069?var=&hash=item3605a0a8ed:m:mcqLGPP4QIxb6C_66DbmNKw Phil
  20. I might get another camera then Tom. As stated earlier Bry, it is not a T20 by name but the same type made by a guy on Airgun forum and also used by quite a few other guys on there. It is a Surefire torch and has 3 power modes and zoom capability. Phil
  21. Anyone going to 'The Game Fair' this weekend at Ragley Hall. Phil
  22. Yes the highest setting Mitch. I have checked the focus and fine tuned the camera to the scope but I am not certain what camera it is Tom as I bought it as a completely made unit. I had wondered about another camera but don't want to throw money at it if it is no good which is why I want to try another torch to try in comparision. Phil
  23. Okay, some food for thought. I will have another play tonight. The unit itself is really well made and very neat with it's own built in battery but it is starting to p1ss me off. I take on board what you say TC regarding AO/torch zoom and will look into it further but, and there is always a 'but', I have side wheel AO on my scopes and I did try to make adjustments with both last night with very little effect, worth trying again though. I would like to try a bigger torch, just to eliminate it from the equasion or even another T20. Mine is not a T20 by name but Terry on airgun forum makes th
