Very nice to see a youngster seeing the wonderful kindness extended by two of our members, fantastic guys. This may help with her eye issue and is something we do in clay shooting when someone starting off, has a left eye dominance but are right handed (or the other way around). Get a pair of very dark sunglasses and remove the right lens, then put black insulating tape over the left lens. I have NOT tried this for rifle shooting but the principle is the same and may just work fine as it forces the right eye to focus on the target and the left eye cannot have any bearing on the shooting.

I want to get some FAP to try in my wife's gun, who has the best prices/postage please. Phil

If the length is the issue, use a spacer or a few spacers which can be made both cheaply and easily from wood, plastic or professionally made ones. If the stock is too low, buy a Beartooth comb raiser, brilliant product, my wife had one on a shotgun she used to own and it worked a treat. http://www.avalon-guns.com/avalon/Comb-Raisers.html Phil

Good on you David. Ethan is going to be made up with that Jimmy. Phil

Nice one Chris, I did wonder how long it would be before you had one. I confess I was drooling over a .22 in Crawfords last week. Phil

As above, HW100 every day. Phil

Yes I think perhaps you could be right there Matt, better watch my step me thinks. There is still space in the bag with the gun inside. Gun length 32.5 inches with the mod fitted, 27 inches without. Phil

I had hold of the 410SL the other week, very impressed with how well balanced they are. Nice shooting by the way. Phil

You hit the nail on the head David along with some woodies that like to sit in the trees above a place where I set my hide. Now need to get some pellets to try, got AA Field but want some others including Mitch's FAP. Now there is a point, where is the best place to get them as nobody in my area sells them. Phil

For a few weeks now, my wife has shown some interest in shooting with an air rifle, she is already an experienced clay shooter and fancied having her turn with the rifle. I have been on the lookout for a small lightweight rifle, the obvious one was an Ultra but as she is buying it, did not want to spend that much on a rifle and then a scope as she may not be that keen after using the gun a while. Whilst we were in my local RFD, she spied on the shelf, a Brocock Aim-X Contour .22 which although it is a single shot gun, really appealed to her. Very light to carry around the perm and despite

If that is a GAT Rez, it was my first gun and loved it, however I didn't know any better but to me it was the bees knees and a few starling and rats paid the price Phil

I have, in my limited time with airguns, taken suggestion from people like Mitch who has years more experience than myself but I have to test a given pellet before being comitted to a brand. The pellet testing process is something I really enjoy and it is a good learning curve about both the gun and the pellet being tested. In my clay shooting experience, I have bought tens of thousands of cartridges and over 40+ years of shooting, I would alway buy a few boxes of shells before jumping in for a thousand. I think it is fair to say that I like to keep a very open mind on both guns and what w

Glad to made it home safe and sound Jimmy. I have been busy in the garden today but found a little time to have a few shots with the TX all be it at a somewhat reduced range compared to Simon's garden, not bad though. I enjoyed the day and hope we can do it again. The TX certainly like the AA Express but I have to look for another supplier as I am not paying 13.50 for a tin of .177 pellets. I will order some JSB Express from Voymir and perhaps some JSB Heavies as their prices are way better than the price I was charged for the AA's. Roll on another meet. Phil

Today, I went a little further south to Pianoman's house at his kind invitation to meet up with himself, Mac and Little Hunter also known Simon, Jimmy and Ethan. The get together was mainly to try out the remodelled Prosport that Jimmy has been working hard on but that side I will leave for the boys to talk about, all I will say is 'Jimmy, you are a clever chap'. The reason for me going down apart from meeting the guys was to get some help with the dark art of springer shooting and whilst I stand in sheer amazment in the skill that was demonstrated. I watched as Simon put 4 pellets on top of
