  4. whats it like if u spin the lamp on the bunnies , is it sturdy?since ive had mine i can not go with out taking with me. The pros out weigh the consis that a no? Lol not at all. You can still shake the lamp as its a tight fit. I wouldnt be wit out one honesttried it with some card lastnight, 8" and then 4" and the spill on 8" reduced hell of a lot and 4" was quite good aswell, as you say the beam is still the same. How much past the front of the lamp lip does it go? Cheers for links etc
  5. Went with a mate lastnight with 150, nice little lamps for rabbiting on smaller fields. They look bright n clear compared to halogen, but next to my HID there worlds apart. I know few people been asking about lamps to record with and I think HID for recording will be top draw.
  6. Any planned litters of beardy grey lurchers next year?
  7. what was you using it on him for Barking in kennel and generally being a wanker the vibrating ones and stuff like that don't work Iv tried them. But one that's a proper shock if u got to use one, and it'll save f***ing round lol

  9. Have a young dog here learning ropes that's mostly beardy touch of border grey and he's like the dogs u mention personality wise. Dog try dominate him or push his luck and he turns into hulk. Decent stamina, good feet and quick enough. I use him for lamping only but back end of season will try him few days ferreting. He was early at marking rabbits, marked foxes to ground and he's put up his own fox but not connected. Think I will always stick to a beardy type. Any pictures of these Picardy xs?
  10. I had a bitch from parents 25-26 and she end up 29, useless on rabbits and other small stuff, not to bad on the obvious.

  12. Just because a dogs been trained not to catch deer don't mean it wouldn't or it hasn't got the minerals to do it. Sighthounds main quarry is deer, and fair play if you can break a dog to them. I'd imagine if you run an estate or had permission on an estate and there were deer on it, then you would be left with no choice other than to try and break them to deer?
  13. sure I saw that as long as your seen to try and stop It, you wont get done lol be nice wont it..
  14. Pretty hard considering it's the sighthounds main quarry I'd of thought. Good luck. The collar is about the best suggestion ?
  15. Not bad, young dog is picking up great now. Be broadening my horizons tomorow onwards on what I'm looking for so could do with some luck, haha.
  16. Most of my land is like that or other crop and the rabbits don't hang about on there. Nice vid
  17. Any good DVDS with deer being taken that's worth a watch...ideally looking for few good DVDs to get that the dogs are taking all quarry day or night...recommendations?
  18. keep at it...it's nothing better than driving somewhere, lacing boots up, getting dog warmed up and hitting the fields without no f****r on your back. Get back to the car, check dog over, feed it n water ..take boots off bit of munch and a cupper lol took me a while to get them but I got 5 places to go lamping now, and so much more enjoyable being able to take your time ..good luck in your search For them. It's only this year iv got anywhere for the dogs.
  19. Can't see any stupid comments except reindeer one but it's hardly ruined the thread lol
  20. Well after using my hid the other night I am pleased that I went for it, best light for clarity Iv ever seen, really does give the edge for me. Iv already gone up in the air with mine and cracked it down quite hard and I had it stuck in a gate the other night between myself falling lol with stands a good clout so far.
  21. no chance. My dog is very collie in his make up, and he's been a total doddle to bring on n train and live with.Had a pup recently with saluki in it, il never have saluki in a dog again. Had it 9 weeks and regimes it. Well some folk get on with saluki like you get on I with collie. I think they both arse holes loli get on with a dog that wants to listen regardless of what's in it. I had a deer grey x collie grey, too look at it was a greyhound , temperament of a deerhound from what I could gather. Did everything in her own time, bit stubborn. What are deerhound temps like Bill? Do they like do
