    bitches in season have more fat round their heart I'm sure, maybe this is why they don't get run? I personally wouldn't.

    Biggest tip is be consistent and firm with whatever your trying to do. Ie, recall.. Either always whistle for it, or name call. If you choose to mix the both I find recall becomes sloppy. I use a ACME silent whistle to enforce a sharp recall. I use two blips to come straight to me, or one just to call the dog over. Once you got that 100%, you got total confidence with dog in the field. Good luck picking the right pup etc. Atb

    Whippets ain't daft if you ask me. YouTube some videos ferreting with whippets, some smart whippets out there. Was thinking of a whippet myself but got a lurcher with whippet in , instead. Atb

    Thanks for the replies. She's only 7 week old, but already can see she's got cracking feet and length of back. Already she's got a keen eye, if anything moving about she running after it lol. Not something I ever thought I'd have, but glad I took the chance on it. She's like my shadow already an only had it 1 day.

    Line bred coursing dogs got everything in them going back far enough, even if saluki saturated. I thought it was a good question myself.

    If you got the cash to buy new, add a little extra and my mate has a "like new" condition hw80, .22 calibre V mached tuned including ; Sleeved to 25mm cylinder V glided piston, seal, top hat etc Breach shim conversion Cs800 stock with the best grain Iv seen some from them. All like brand new with HW MOD, he wants 450. The work carried out and extras including the rifle he bought new stands him at 900+.     A collie whippet grey x saluki whippet grey out of interest and any pictures and thoughts on this cross or similar. Just got myself a pup of this breeding. Nice little thing. Be interested to hear genuine replies, cheers.
