  1. The beams whiter and tighter than a strike. It has a longer head giving it tighter beam otherwise they wouldn't get the distance iut of it.
  2. what beardy crosses have you had mate, I wouldn't mind a half x, but have access to all quarry on permission, so more inclined to 3/4, but it's finding one. Be a great help knowing what half x lacked etc , as they don't throw same shape and build as border xs do.
  3. think you've got it wrong, I mean, what people are on about lol
  4. Locked up for a month then expect to do the do, and he says it's the knowledge behind the dog.... Unbelievable
  5. A guide is 10% of pups body weight, if it'll eat more...feed more, but spread it over the amount of meals you give a day.
  6. they sound abit like beardies from what people have said about beardies abit more of its "own" dog. I got a dog here, beardy border grey x beardy grey x grey. And he's very beardy temp, but at same time if I ask him to do it now, he will. But never looks for me to give another command, he's abit of a loner, good with dogs unless they try it on. My next dog I think I want just beardy, but an open mind is always good. Thanks for reply.
  7. What does the kelpie offer over the collie lads? I like the collie x but understand they vary. Are kelpie a sounder animal?
  8. Everytime I get somewhere with my young dog I get a hiccup lol but asking as he progressing I'm happy. Did u have a 1/4beard 3/4grey before rew?
  9. Something to bare in mind as well, raw only takes 4-6hours digestion, dry food up to 10 hours. So they say.. I used to try feeding in morning half the meal. But few weeks back I fed my dog at 6-30 ish and mate wanted to go lamping so thought ok, went about ten ish and didn't make a difference how he run, difference was he prob had more energy in him if he needed it there n then.
  10. Did you buy the battery with it or just the lamp mate ?already had lithium 10amp that I used my 140 with. 2 hour 30 min runtime continuous with the 140 I had, more than enough on a night out. The HID is probably more run time, but punches more light output than blitz
  11. is he interested in whatever your using when you got it? Make it fun so he wants to bring it back to u to play again
  12. Two retrieves every few days should be enough. Do u think a dog forgets every day how to retrieve? Nope..

  16. Good warm up routines before working dog to stop pulled muscles ? Awaiting my running dog maintenance book to turn up ..
  17. My of bitch had this , to what degree I don't know. Strict rest for 2 weeks with being put on lead out the back for piss n stuff, then from there short walks for 4 weeks, after that was another 4 weeks of more short walks. Long story short she was fine, so whether it was badly bruised I'm not sure. Definitely cruciate as it was very sore in the knee
  18. any of your dogs get pulled muscle from slipping? Happens twice this season so far to me.
  19. Atb with recovery malc, I'd be gutted being in that position , great to see you stand by the dog. Fingers crossed.
  20. it is a lot of money, if u only go out now n again and stick to rabbits in small fields maybe it's abit off waste, but all I do is go lamping, I'm out quite regular and lamp big fields. And had the cash there so thought why not. It will also be miles better than halogen and LED with filters on too.Sure they do a lance 140, with 35w HID I bet that's a very nice little lamp indeed
