  1. So they are different then. Did u find the deben really tight
  2. Total difference in taking a pup out, stock breaking and so on and ferreting when most holes are net up. But LAMPING is full of hazardous stuff. ANY dog can get injured but mature fit dogs can stop quicker and take a knock better ... You can on as you will, but like jeemes have quite right pointed out, most dogs are sickened by two, and they don't sicken themselves...
  3. that's it Jim, get them out as soon as there jabbed up , my younger dog was out at 9 weeks old, he knew what stock were, fences ,ditches etc he deff learned all his field craft. And as seen rabbits from young age when he did start run couple at 6 months old it was no big deal for him, ive never looked back with him , ive had good bags as ive said on my thread, and he take any quarry that he put on, he very calm dog when not working, but full on when does work, get them out when pups you wont hurt them , you not pushing them, pups will play all day long its just extension of that
  4. do you think it spills more than the lightforce etc? Maybe the deben 150 is different to the PLR then because I didn't notice much spill (I don't think)
  5. Pre ban he Was tried on the lot just wouldn't take em,a first for me tbh I even loaned him out for another lad to try no good. But on lamp for bunny and hares best I've ever had. I remember the last season I ran him ran missed 1 Hare all season once he got a bend they never got away. how much running dog was in him etc ?
  6. exactly same lamp I think. Be interested to hear your thoughts on them side by side
  7. What do u mean by glare, do you mean spill ? The 150 I looked at and used one night didn't have no spill and was tight, nice white light but found it limited and in some circumstances dangerous. My mates bitch (using my 170) just about clipped a cut down tree, still injured herself BUT , I reckon with the narrower beam she would of been carried off that field.
  8. Mad how some dogs won't go in to deer. what deer was he tried on mate
  9. Cracking pics, good thread keep it up and thanks for contributing lads.
  10. No you won't hurt them, just give them injuries early on...that's the point we are making... So dont say any different
  11. Fuji, what was don put to , to produce them pups? Cheers
  12. Cheers, he's had bits an bobs this season, but lastnight he looked like he's just clicked like. Nice recovery now back at them and some other stuff that Iv been wanting to fill me freezer with
  13. cheers, could of doubled that if he was fit n well. Always there for next time though.
  14. are you on about saluki x or both saluki b collie together? I got mostly arable permission, mostly rabbits with odd hare, and deer
  15. Had a pup with saluki in it, it had to go. Got to the point where I couldn't bond with it because how it was so it went. Il stick to my collie xs from now on as I find these suit me better than terrier/saluki and deerhound types. Il just get one from good stock, that Iv already got my eye on.
  16. Nice one. This is why I say about not taking young dogs to watch, can do more harm than good. Wait few months and take her alone. Atb
  17. i understand that but it's plenty of people that post here instead, just wondered if u had to be special
  18. How come my posts been moved and no other fuckers are moved? Lol
  19. Went to new perm lastnight, first night on it. Dog had a bump last week and looked ok so took him out. Caught 7 on the trot and then missed 3 I thought he was tired, caught one at the end and headed back to the car. Best Iv seen him run so far , although got sore shoulder so plenty of rest now I think.
