  1. I have a Striker variable and to be honest I've never used it other than messing around with it when I 1st bought it. As soon as you start to lower the power it loses a hell of a lot of its bright white light and turns into a cheap 25 quid ebay special and imho becomes more or less useless. If you already have the Striker and you're looking for something smaller then why not go for a Lance or a Lazerlite? Excellent wee lamps that won't go as far as a Striker but do have a good strong bright white light. Just my twa bobs worth
  2. Good going mate and nice to read a hunting story for a change

  4. Aye...that Irish lot. Gettin us all a bad name
  5. You should always carry a small pair of forceps...especially when worm fishing as they are so often deeply hooked
  6. Thats endemic not epidemic........ Yes, I did notice that after I posted
  7. Hopefully it's just an infection mate that'll pass and not a bad head knock when he smashed his teeth.
  8. You'll never know until you try. A lot of it is what you do with the dog but it would be a bonus it I was from good stock

  12. Joking aside...I absolutely love lamping on my own with just the wee dug...he loves it also. It's a great wee team. Been out in everything and so has the wee dug. Nothing phases us...magic way to hunt. Bring on the wind and rain an stuff Christopher Lee and Bela Lugosi

  15. Great story by the way. Go out my my own a lot and usually don't mind but the scary thoughts do enter the napper occasionally. Anything comes near me other than dog it will sharply be receiving 8 inches of steel
  16. treated and cured ...... Good to hear mate. What symptoms did you notice in the dog and how was it treated?
  17. It's all fine and well saying that nobody's ever heard of anybody's dog ever having it but, going by the article it is there and should be taken seriously by dog owners in the area. I've no idea how often the scientists carry out these tests or whether some dogs can actually carry it without being affected. They're obviously popular places for dog walkers so i would certainly be avoiding them.
  18. Shame you're across the water mate as he's a fine looking dog. I'm sure someone will be along soon to give him a good home. BoL
  19. May well be a load of nonsense fellas but still worth mentioning
