  1. Just found this... http://m.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/news/dog-owners-warned-killer-lungworm-is-endemic-1-3886311
  2. Heard somewhere today that there is a lungworm epidemic in the west of Scotland. Should be online somewhere. Slugs the culprit apparently. Anyone in that area it might be wise to keep an eye on the dogs for any unusual behaviour!
  3. No worries re spelling...managed to decipher it ha. Yeah you shouldn't have to rewire/re-solder but it's worth it as it is a great all round lamp for all things ;-)
  4. I know the Blazerlite has a 100watt bulb and the Lazerlite a 50watt bulb but have you by any chance compared them? I have a Lazerlite kicking aorund somewhere and it's a great wee lamp if memory serves
  5. 1st thing i did when i bought the Striker was to strip down...re-solder and tape the cable at week spots. Saves getting caught out in the field i think
  6. Where i go definitely and they're further out and appear settled
  7. True mate. Don't mind a bit of rain. Main thing for me is wind and nae moon ;-)
  8. Black night with plenty wind and I'm happy with 11pm ;-)
  9. And which posts did you use to come to those conclusions??? The reason i ask is because there are less than a handful of posts on this thread that are actually factual. The fact is that you, like the vast majority of the posters on the thread don't have the 1st clue what they're talking about and never will judging by the posts.
  10. Good read that mate. Thanks for posting
  11. What do you do for a livintage mate, if you don't mind me asking?
  12. We're everywhere and watching you closely
  13. Another popular misconception. It's not a secret society...it's a society with secrets
  14. Stunning wee dog. Looks like a pup. I'm sure the owner will be looking for him. Good luck.
  15. You don't have to believe in God at all. Ok it's widely known that there is a religious element to it but you certainly don't have to be religious. It's got nothing whatsoever to do with protestant/Catholic either. It's not sinister cult and will never do you or anyone around you any harm. If you're a decent bloke you may get an invite...if your an arse forget it.
  16. I've been caught out in a blizzard a few times with mine and the only time I've seen him shiver is if I've had to stop for a few mins. Ferreting in the cold and rain...no problem. Lamping in the cold and rain...no problem. As long as he's getting a few runs he doesn't seem to give a s%#t. When running hard the steam comes off him. Don't be put off...game wee rabbiting dogs ;-)
  17. If it's not already been suggested...maybe you could get her out on the lamp with a more experienced and enthusiastic dog. Keep her on the lead and let the other dog do the 1st half dozen or so and see how she responds. It should hopefully wind her up. Still young'ish though so do give her time. ATE with her.
  18. Excellent read...superb fish and I love the more traditional style setup ;-)
  19. Mine does the same...he gives the back a crunch to stop the kicking. Is he just a bit too keen as it's the start of the season?
  20. Welcome mate. New to the forum myself. Plenty info to keep you busy
