people are entitled to different opinions and this is the place to air them , terrier men are notorious for calling a spade a spade , even if they get it wrong lol .Sorry if you think this maybe is scrutinising your post ?. I personally like a difference of opinion even if I don't agree with that opinion . I won't hide behind my username either if you want I'll pm you if want to know who I am lol -

My father was an avid reader and one book that sticks in my mind from when I was a child was a book called Fighting sports by Capt Fitzbarnard . I would love to read again has anyone else read it on here ? -

Well I've got to say that's the first time I've read the word " Polemic " on a terrier forum . ? -
lol I know that word again " if " ?. They'll be a few more ifs along in a while .

If Fury wins, if Price can come back from losing , If Joshua keeps going the way he is , all ifs that's all I was trying to say . At the end of the day I suppose fights will happen if people want to pay to see it happen , but at the moment it's all if ! Sorry but I haven't read all the thread so you might've past your opinion on this already but if Fury and Joshua happened now who do you think would win mate ?
-
Wasn't a lot of people saying the same things last year about David Price , yer he'll knock fury out and so on lol . Now the same folk are saying the same about Joshua , lads a lot can happen in boxing and they mightn't even meet ! So I can only judge them on what stages they're are at the now in their career and for me at this moment in time Fury would beat Antony Joshua ! In the future who knows, to be truthful I can't see them ever fighting .

Last year my digging partner died, anyway I went to he's funeral then pub after and finally home. I was sat not really watching TV And I was thinking of the digs I had with him . When I heard a scratching at the front door , I opened the front door to find a fox standing there looking directly at me . We stood there looking at each other for a long second before I give it "go on fook of !" He walk of slowly and down the street before turning giving a little bark and of down the street . Got to be truthful it put the wind up me a bit lol . It's never tried to get in before or since and only h

Some of the men that've been arrested live down the road from me and drink in the local pub .

The needs of the many out weigh the need of the few ! Yer I know it was a Spock saying lol but it's true. Fair play to the man as like anyone that's lost someone to terrorism I doubt he's ever forgotten Them . So it was probably very hard for him to do today but I think he done what's for the best for he's country he's troops and anyone that doesn't want to go back to them horrible times.

There was a fox and hounds in Battersea and the sign had two rough coated lurchers just about to strike and old Reynard spinning around on them. It was the best pub sign I've seen , anyway they changed the sign now all gone .

he will never make as a Welshman or even a wannabe as the one he cuddled all night he would've shagged it senseless ?

I admire your love and dedication to such a lost cause working wise mate . If I'm honest I couldn't or wouldn't have kept the dog . The dog sounds a liability to itself and probably be best kept in a inviroment were it can hurt itself , somewhere like a padded cell or a room made of marshmallow lol only joking . Good luck with whatever you choose! Clumsy or unlucky ? Definitely clumsy because it would've been unlucky if it had me as an owner and not you lol .

The book I enjoyed the most is work them hard by David Harcombe . Do I think these authors have done us a disservice by putting pictures up of scarred up terriers and describing bloody battles to use your words . NO I don't , I love to see the pictures of the pictures of old warriors and the stories of epic digs . These books are aimed at men that dig and where not written with what some anti might consider acceptable !!! -
You can never stop local lads from going on your permission and I think its wrong to try,we all start off in our own area,s and without transport as a kid its all we know, I quite often catch kids and lads on my permissions and normally end up letting them help me ferret or get them to meet me on a different day to help out, remember local lads can go when they like where as most have to travel to permission, WM a few kids is one thing but wc but he doesn't want every Tom dick and Harry for miles around going there !
