  4. I've been having a look through some old photos and came across this picture it was taken about twenty odd years ago . The black dog in the middle was my dog , he was given to me and as the man that bred him handed him to me I can remember him saying " make a friend of him as he wont be messed about " and he was right that dog didn't give a f**k for no man or dog , don't get me wrong he wasn't aggressive towards humans or other dogs but if another dog started it was on , if a human was rough with him or raised there hand to him it was on .   8. When I was about 10 I helped my father get a fox that was in a neighbours back garden under a shed , anyway moved the shed a found loads of dead cats remains .My father reckons that old foxy must've have had a taste for them because there was a lot there .

From what I've learned the younger lady or rawnie in the wagon isn't a traveller you can tell the difference by the hats ,she is wearing a more fashionable discreat hat for the 1930s whereas my ancestor is wearing a more larger affair which was more bolder to stand out in a fair ground .

  14. This one is a lot more recent but still old enough got to early 1970s so forty odd years ago , a couple of cousins . So from the first picture to this one were still hunting so I think it must be in the blood lol

(No worries if you'd rather not share - just being nosey me lol) I don't know Mo I'll ask my cousin for ya , the pictures are from family that've been passed down .
  16. This is my great grandfather before WW1 served in India first then in Europe again something to do with horses . He's also the grandson of the couple in the first picture .

  19. The info we have on them is he's name is Levi Smith and worked with horses on a large estate and he's wife also worked in service on the same estate . That pictures knocking on for 130 years old maybe more . I also wondered what was the significance of the rabbits in the picture lol oh well I'll never know I suppose . Thanks for the comments !

  21. A cousin of mine that is researching the family tree found this picture of our great great great grandfather and grandmother . Made me laugh though of holding a couple of rabbits in what must've been a big occasion to have a photograph done, must be in the blood lol.
