    Good story telling is a dying art, I always take a good story with a pinch of salt but still enjoy listening to it .

    seen one up a tree in the middle of cover one morning when i thought hounds had put one to ground. Sat tight like a cat looking down on the hounds while they scrambled looking up and running around confused. It got away too, i gave it too much of a fair chance. Survival of the fittest, i can't argue with that. They like lime trees a lot but have had three in an oak tree. had one in the middle of and old oak tree the farmer helped us chop in with an axe to get in out . Also my brothers stables has over hanging trees that I've seen foxes climb in .

    ever heard someone telling a long drawn out joke that you knew the punchline within the first minute , but they keep going and going with it that's what happened on the Peugeot segment lol.

    Thought exactly the same thing whilst watching them last night . I think they realise it as well that they've done pretty much all they can do with the format .

    Going out for a look in a minute on my own , I think I'll be doing this a lot more in the future . I do miss my friend that I used to dig with , he couldn't have passed in the summer could he typical of him lol .always handy to have a mate pass a shovel wait here while I go and get a better tool or just to chat about the day's events until the next time we went out , Oh well life moves on !

    JD told my brother the same thing could catch plenty of hares only would struggle in Dec And Jan time , other than that reckons was a real good all rounder .

    Jmho for me it's not about numbers if it was I'd lamp a strong lurcher and get loads where I'm at or even a rifle get even more. No I admire a terrier that shows grit and determination to stay until dug , whatever style that may be or breed . I can really see the benefits of a dog that bolts and won't stay or that can be called out, especially as I'm getting older lol. But like I said the one I admire above all else is the tyke that stays .

    How small?? Bulldogs on average aren't big dogs... What did she weigh? 15 to 16 tts and about 27 pounds roughly if memory serves me correctly .

    For the lads that know lines as I dont have a clue lol, my father was gifted a pup in the mid to late 80s that was supposed to be out of a dog called Neilis to a Patrick bitch or Fitzpatrick not sure which anyway Was these good lines ?

    When I was a lad I watched where the red fern grows , ever since then I've always fancied going to the states and watching blue tic or red bone hounds hunt coon . Don't know how you'd go about finding out about that doing sort of hunting mate but good luck with it anyhow .
