he has done a few rats . and I think its a possibility. that would be a good result. although ive not found any bites or injuries in the area of the lump and check them out carefully

fairplay looks like you've had some cracking sport

i'm not that clued up on this sort of stuff to be honest but I would think a tumour would just keep getting bigger. antibiotics has brought the swelling down before and reduced the size of the lump. I was thinking maybe a cyst . I should know soon enough though . and cheers for the input folks

he is back from the vets a bit groggy after the biopsy and another course of antibiotics and I will get the results Monday coming. there is no sign of splinters etc no damage or problems inside his mouth. the lump is a clear pronounced ball about the size of a fecking golfball. I will update the thread if and when I get news cheers. forest i'm made up with this lad. will get in touch over the weekend. and credit is down to the breeding. ive just been feeding the greedy sod lol.

iFieldcraft bollox to that I hardly get out the truck these days Unfortunately there plenty of lads with dogs who give others a bad name Poaching on shoots..cutting fences...nicking gas gun batteries....that was just one farm now land owner wants Hares shot on site shouldn't be a problem you can shoot em from the truck. dogmen and shooters have both got there unsavoury elements. ive seen some shocking stuff from shooters but as I aint getting into a tit for tat i'll just let it lie. as for the shit on facebook its probably not a good idea to bring it on here @ topic poster

my young terrier max has had a lump appear under his ear just to the back of his jaw. he was at the vets a few weeks ago and given antibiotics. this helped and all was good for a while but its reappeared with a vengeance so back to the vets and he is in for an op tomorrow to get a biopsy and remove the lump. I really like this dog so fingers crossed he is up and well in no time. without the extra head he is trying to grow. cs in a blink of an eye he has gone from this to this he is a credit to his breeder. I recon so wish him a speedy recovery as I don't want him out of ac

hard work is never easy. the more I know about folk, the more I like dogs.

a working dog should be fit and healthy all year round. a dog that is lean and muscular isn't difficult to keep in condition. the issue only arises if dogs are aloud to get out of condition and run to fat. I hate to see dogs without a little fat on them. they need something to burn off. nothing looks worse than a skinny working dog to my eye's

I found a ring last year. just a single circle around an old rowan tree. never seen a double or treble. would be good to see a picture. cs

two separate litters three adult foxes and five cubs in this earth. with a massive difference in the size of the cubs. the older litter was moved half a mile away by the vixen. the same dogfox was in attendance with both litters. I don't think second litters happen. as the breeding season for foxes is at such a crutial time to help the young foxes survival rate. at a guess the two litters where about three or four weeks apart. more than likely bred at the start and end of the breeding season. sandy earth.

if we already have the cream where is the harm in the jagd entering the arena. I really don't understand why folk get so het up about it.. its the same with the plummer. everyone wants to do em down. i personally don't care if folk want to work yorkies. why would i its never going top affect my life . cs

when your PUP retreaves anything reward it with a treat. once it is mature enough to go on live quarry do the same. it will settle with plenty of work. if you put the ground work in before live game. good luck with your pup.

good efforts. I love to see barn owls. cheers

I don't understand the threat of these terriers diluting bloodlines. as the best bloodlines are close bred and kept tight between close friends. so how would the jagds come into the breeding ? I reckon there is a place for these terriers especially for duel hunters. they have excellent noses and most are trainable to a good degree. its good to see other breeds over here. good luck with them I say. fresh solid working lines shouldn't be discouraged wherever they come from. all the best cs

luck does play a part in working dogs. imo. how the genes gel is not totally understood and cant be controlled. so luck plays a part. when entering you can be carefull but once they go below ground there is luck involved. if you run them on top they could get cought up in an old snare. ...unlucky... young prospect killed in a cave in...unlucky... top quality dog turns out infertile..unlucky. average bred dog turns out a cracking worker. lucky. ..you get a pup from the dog further down the line... not being told the truth about the breeding...unlucky.. trusting a good mate that isn't just as ho
