  1. Im not that far from Llangunnor so that may be an option
  2. Just spoken to them, i need to return the certificate so that they can put a shared clause in there and listing my rifles under firearms possessed she seemed a bit taken aback when i mentioned we could now double up on our armaments So another delay
  3. On the front of cert it states that firearms and ammunition to which this certificate relates are shared with my cert no I was hoping they would have listed my rifles etc under firearms possessed as we both use them But they have given him carte blanche to go out and buy his own that would give us more rifles in the house than they have in the local TA armoury
  4. Just to bring you all up to date, I sent a covering letter to say my son was competent in all aspects. He also sent a letter asking for this restriction to be lifted he got his ticket yesterday.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. under firearms possessed ************ NO ENTRIES******************** Under firearms authorised to purchase or acquire ...................is
  5. Just an update for you all, spoke to the firearms dept, they said there seems to have been a misunderstanding and just want a covering letter from me to say hes competent
  6. My son who is 19 has been using shotguns and rifles since he was eight years of age and has been a member of a rifle club from that age. When he was 14 he was granted a fac and shotgun certificate with joint ownership of all my shotguns and rifles but had to be in my supervision while using them. He missed his renewal by a month, but spoke to the firearms dept and was reassured all was ok as my licence was in order, he has had a visit from the licencing officer but has now had a letter that says "as you have not previously possessed a rifle, it has been recommended that you are supervised

  8. Dyfed powys 5 months and waiting for my renewal, sent in end of December I phoned them Tuesday 1st May as i want to go out for a shot told all ok as long as i stay within Dyfed Powys area Later that day FLO phoned me to come and carry out a check on Wednesday all fine with guns but they want a signed form for permission to shoot on land ive already submitted these on previous application and have an open ticket, but they still want one form from one of my farms where the hell have they been they must have known they wanted the form back in January FLO told me there's only two of them doi
  9. How long have you had the .22lr ? can you put in for a variation .223 CF Not heard of having to have a mentor, although if you are inexperienced it is a good idea do you belong to a club ? Ive dropped many a fox with .22lr subs but Ive got over 40 years behind me and still prefer to drop them with my tikka 223
  10. Ive got one if your prepared to travel to south Wales and take a Jill also.
  11. Just cant do it im self employed in the pub/restaurant trade and when i do catch a 1/2 day off here and there I have paper work to do or SLEEP would love a small lottery win so that i could retire and get a small holding and get back in to country pursuits
  12. My Son has a year old proved vasectomised hob and a 3 year old jill. He has lost intrest in them as he has discovered girls and cars The jill is a good worker and from good stock and so tame she will lick blood off my fingers. He (the hob) has nipped me during feeding time but otherwise hes pretty good My son paid £85 out of his own savings to have him snipped so if he could get £60 for them I would be happy to see them go to a good home I just have to convince my son they have to go as I dont have the time to look after them They are both polecat coloured and we are in Llanelli, Wales
  13. Are you putting the hob with one jill at a time ? ie keeping the other jill separate but having said that our hob lives permanently with the two jills and sees to them both
