To be honest igray88, theres not a lot of difference in the sound reducing qualities of any of the moderators available, its personal choice, me I prefer the reflex style..someone else would prefer the jetz,etc....

Personally does it matter... we lamp rabbits because theres more and there easier to catch than during the day... same goes for all the different quarry... when I'm out I used to shoot them lamping, I sometimes shoot the odd ones now, if someone I'm with wants them, or the gamedealer wants a few, other than that I use to leave them for lads who bring their dogs out to course when it was legal.. But seriously they are a pest in some area's because of a high density of them, some of the farms I go on the farmers are going to have hare drives, so what do you do, running them during the day ISN'T

No not really, buts its always better to check zero after you have cleaned.... I use the moly bullets and only clean every 100 shots or so...

They can also become snare shy, when they hear their best buddies sqealing like a bitch and feed in another area to what you have snared... 2/3 days is good, and choose a windy forecast for best results...Also be aware of other predators present taking your catch/snares if fox numbers are high, they can take a lot of snares, pegandgun had % of his snares taken/lost from foxes in one area he snared...Obviously if this is a problem, sort it out also.

There good mate, All I want is a silencer that works as it should, I prefer the reflex style silencers and the wildcat pred 8 is overall better than a T8, strippable to clean and corrosion coated internally...

I agree Duckwing, far too many people gain snippets of information and overnight they become fountains of knowledge, giving other people advice, when really there just beginners themselves... But thats evident in everything in life... If someone really wants to learn they will do so... Not everything can be learned from a computer screen, theres genuine people wanting to learn how to trap and snare correctly, no one naturally knows everything, I'm sure a lot of the experienced members forget, they were once shown by someone else too in the same way... we never stop learning... plus theres

I know everyones got their own opinion, but when I've been out with pegandgun snaring, he prefers the four strand snares, basically because there easy to work with when setting and reshaping there also quicker firing and tend to kill that bit better, but saying that you do get more snapped snares when fence or peg snaring with four strands, especially big winter rabbits....I know woodga uses six strand for all his snares.... I suppose its personal choice end of the day..

Nice one nobby, them snares you have made are spot on for your first attempt, you must be a natural handyman, as them ferret boxes, knifes, etc you made are spot on too.... I'm back home in a week, we will have a run out, and see what we can manage.... Had an email off chris showing me his columbian drugs baron machine, you will need to get a few shooters for when your cruising in that nobby and some bling Pablo Fieldmarshall or what!! ... Hes wanting a look out with the dog when I get back so we'll take some footage and get it on the site...
