Yes I agree we all got are own way of going about things and aslong as the dogs looks/performs well It don't really matter. Ive always listened to my grandad who was running dogs 60 year ago and others who been at it way before me, always faired me well

Humans and dogs are different mate A fit dog wouldn't cramp up even .fed on wagg and them runs days we're they do cramp abit nothing will change that I'm not saying nones the right or wrong way a dog in good order is what you aim for

Always gave dogs tinned tomatoes for cramp and carbs day before running all the boxers/UFC fighters do it and have always mixed there biscuits with cooked 28% fat minced beef, sound advice. also sometimes scrambled egg and abit of wholemeal toast
