Yeah, I've read a few spots were they supposedly grew up, when I looked on Wiki and I checked the maps, John lived closest to George and Ringo was just over a mile off the Mersey, still, not all far from each other. A great story for the lads, it's fascinating to wonder wether any of them would have made it big if they never met each other, I think so. As for Lennon & McCartney, both equally as talented, for me Paul made the better melodies, the catchy tunes that the public sway towards, but I think Lennon was more gritty, a better lyricist and when he wrote something more melancholic, def

It's funny how folk can only distinguish local accents when you're from that area, take it from me, those from Rotherham sound nothing like the folk from Tarn, Barnsley, where Kes was filmed.

Accents yeah lol . we have it hard in our house as we have a different accent each . both my misses and me are from Galloway Irish families and are the first born in England to at least one English parent in our wider families . We have one English grandparent between us. My mam was born in longtown, and will die there , but she has a lovely lilting mixed Scot’s accent as she was born to my Scottish granny and they lived near Lockerbie until she was at school . Firstly I am from so close to the border that the accent changes at the end of my road . I have that strange borders vo

Not sure, I doubt it. From what I've read they say those from south Liverpool have accents more like the Beatles and scouse in north Liverpool. But Bootle is about as far north as Walton where McCartney grew up so that doesn't make sense.
  15. It was a tumour vet has taken it out cheers
  16. Do you not think that a lot of scouse accents are kinda exaggerated? i certainly find that with the lads I work with
  17. That's what I'm saying, they weren't all from the exact same area, McCartney grew up 2 mile off Bootle where they speak broad scouser, all of them were from the heart of Liverpool.
