This time last year ,I was travelling an HR and a half ,do a 8 HR shift, get payed for 10 hrs,6 days a week,a van and fuel card, and coming home every evening ,and was getting £32 hr...easy money, but it's a young man's game,Hard work when you got a Mrs and 3 kids lol..

Central and Eastern Europe is positioning itself to pick up all the skills and money that no longer want to have the piss taken out of them in the UK tax rates of 10%, no capital gains, zero inheritance, best internet in the whole of Europe, clean, cheap housing, 3rd world types are like rocking horse shit because our eastern cousins don’t like them, cheap healthcare, access by car to the whole of Europe……if the EU carry on with this digital currency business I’ll be giving it serious thought. Oh, and no tax on foreign income is some states…..

If your a young man and work in construction I think it can pay well to move around after the work if your that way inclined and you like that lifestyle. London was always good if you can find reasonable digs and there’s still a good few about. Australia was very good but I think the cost of living has taken the good out of it. I know of lads shuttering in Dublin and they are on a better day rate than good guys that have been at it in London the last 20 years you’d of never thought that would be the case

Would be Canada or Montana for me..Oz and New Zealand aren't what they used to be..I know a few who have come back to the UK after 10/15 years there...

Will it really be the dream you all imagine? You still have to get out of bed and do your 9-5 and unless you have a highly skilled job, you may end up with less bang for your buck. For what, to disappear off the grid, away from hustle and bustle? You can still escape all that in the UK if you want to.

Used to love a Q plate, I had a diesel Orion on a Q, that was 3 different cars and 1 number plate my mate had a mk4 escort ringed to a Q plate, I can’t remember how it happened but the police got the straight car and crushed it so my mate applied for the v5 in his name and got himself a straight car

A lot of the youngsters here have been in Australia and Canada the last few years but most are back now that the work is here again. My own chap was in Perth then London for a couple of years but was always going to come home

Why’s that? I live in a very quiet cul de sac with lovely neighbours

My youngest Son has an amazing life in Vancouver, if it wasn't for a complicated situation with my Grandkids here I'd join him in a heartbeat!
