I have a theory about it. The less you have when you're young , the greater hunting drive you have. I grew up hungry for food , and I've spent my life hunting for food ( and everything else really). It's been many years since I've been short of money or food , but I was off work today , and I was still up at 3am , to go shooting. Like you , I was taking my lad out as soon as I could , and as much as he enjoyed it , and is good at it , he's just never had that drive/need , to get out and get stuff. It certainly is, but Advance aren't even a political party yet they are a limited company with aspirations to become a political party if they can get 30,000 members paying £30 a pop! I'm not doing it down just saying at this time I don't believe they are the right option. For the first time in my voting life time we have a viable alternative to uni-party politics, I would prefer a far right party but a vote for any one of the others mentioned is just splitting the vote. I'm going over old ground so will leave it there.

I won’t be having a season, I had to shoot my dog a couple of years after moving here because he was going up the wall because there was f**k all in the way of enough graft to stop him going potty ! I no longer hunt with dogs and haven’t for 10 years, I don’t even shoot anymore because there aren’t enough pheasants to make it ethical….i just feed the very few that I see now. I was lucky enough to get to step out with some really decent lads who had way better dogs than me and who, unlike me, had lived what they did and were way more knowledgable about this stuf
