Due to a few issues my days of walking dogs, fishing and shooting are over, so back on the bikes but only small light one nowadays. been doing a 1978 Yamaha DT125E, A 1975 Kawasaki KH100 and just started on a little Beta Senior.

They say you have succeeded as a parent when your kids are living an independent life. I'm probably the same age or thereabouts as your mother. The very last thing I would want would be my son to give up his life and career to look after me. That would be a nightmare scenario to me. In a sense the mum you knew has gone. What remains is a shell. Somebody who looks like your mum but may not even recognise you. Her essence has gone. Parents look after children, not the other way round. That's a natural law. I remember my granny coming to live with us. She had dementia and incontinence

Yep, but would you need to ask? I can only comment regarding my own Mam and I know there's nothing I could say that would keep her away. Obviously i'm not privvy to the strength of your relationship though

Mush, if the boot were on the other foot and you were ill but your Mam was in good health what would your Mam do? I'm guessing she'd drop anything to be with her boy

What will, you going home achieve? If shes looked after ,some family around ,and in her condition, would she be aware your there ? I've my brother,all the rest can fk off ,not the greatest family ,mrs and son the exception, think this is your decision, a tough one !

This is exactly what I'm thinking mate.

Can be a funny thing recommending boots as what you find good fitting boots might not be suitable for some one else though i wish I could find a pair of work boots as comfortable as my hanwags.
