Last year I built a pond for a customer..the land next to their boundaries was put up for auction... plans to build a few houses on it right next to them....I went to a local pond I've known for since I was a nipper,and grabbed a load of newt/toad spawn along with 3 pairs of creasted newts and a few pairs of mating toads.....ended up having to change the plans in the end...and they still haven't got any neighbours

Cormorants and goosanders eat a lot of salmon fry and smolts. Neither belong on our rivers. Cormorants are marine birds and goosanders ate foreign imports. You can get a licence to control them but they only allow you to kill a dozen birds. Some controllers aren't great counters though.
