It's his type of input the site is sorely missing, now all we can talk about as UK hunters with dogs is the past or rabbits it makes quite boring reading, at times imo... Why people see the need

My pal back in England runs a thing for kids with his fishing club every year where they take a group of kids and show them the ropes, the do’s and don’t’s, fish care, skills everything like that…..wonder if there are any clubs near you doing the same mate ?……may be worth investigating ?

Some schools over here do youth fishing clubs,Ontario does learn to fish and tackle share programs as well as school fishing contests, lots of schools do archery some do hunting, the UK has lost its way.

Fish locker I like his content, now he is getting a few trips away each year.

I like them , haven’t seen the the Gerry cinnamon at t in the park ?

also there two young black kids watching queen at live aid which is quite humbling as they get right into it

Seen a couple of the Gerry Cinnamon ones, Americans are on a different planet so not sure it even registers the same. I’m not even a fan of him but watching him on TV at TRNSMT a few years ago is maybe as jealous as I’ll get of the young ones today. Taps aff getting mad with it in the sunshine with all your mates singing “here we, here we, here we fcking go”!

Have you watched the ones about how he ladders a chimney and how he builds the scaffold at the top ?…..it’s mind blowing !

Not a bit of me, I get woozy waking over tower bridge ! lol

On a job with a some rope access techs a few years ago, couple of them trying to ‘out danger’ each other telling of the various bridges, masts etc. they’d working on. I showed them that video with Dibnah swinging about in the wind at the top of a 200’ chimney in a bosun’s chair.., not a safety harness or ‘two points of attachment’ in sight. We bred men different in those days, granted a few had the ‘half a day out with the undertaker’ but removing the risk from everything dulls the wits and creates complacency. That’s the price I suppose.

When we just got on with it !…….was there ever a phrase that encapsulated the traditional British mentality so well as “Just get on with it” !

Same here, real outdoor culture, theres schools that rear trout for release as part of the fishing program, and places like nunavut I know a guy works at larga baffin whose son did a hunter education type youth program that hunted caribou with the teacher.
