there is a healthy breeding population of Aesculapian snakes in Colwyn Bay in North Wales that escaped from the Welsh mountain Zoo in the 70's and they like living in the walls people's houses

Aren't they in a few places down south too?

Heard tales about muntjac round here too but I'm not so sure. Them ringneck seem to come and go.

Yep Rob the same with me, been told by farmers and those 'fun chaps', the wildlife officers (I can even look like Joe Blogs with a trampy lurcher by my side!) Those mini deer are 'among us'...

Thing is mate, to them, a Roe buck looks like a Red stag, and a half grown Roe looks like a Munty.

You, like me, are on the ground local, day to day, and seen (or run) nothing!

More's the pity...

Exactly what I was thinking mate, people expect deer to be the size of horses don't they so I would imagine they think roe are tiny. Starting to get fallow here now too and more otters.
