A lad called @lurchers on here may be able to point you in the right direction...

I've always liked the borders, but they are hard to come by these days, mainly because of the money thats involved...I would take one from a non kc registered litter, over one with some European working cert....know a few lads from here and Germany/finland who have had their pants pulled down, buying in said dogs...👍

Thank you for the info and I agree 100%, the money ruined many working breeds and still does!!! The European working cert on a dog is meaningless to me, I know its a common in thing among DTJ and Teckels/Dachshund and many KC breeders.

Nice dogs but do yous still at actually work them to ground genuine question

No but I know they will mate as I keep the breeding right. But just remember not all worker to worker in any terrier goes to ground.Or doesn’t make the grade I laugh on here when ya here lads say borders don’t work till they are 3yrs old.Obviously there listen to people who have never had them or they have had the wrong breeding.Treat them like ya would a normal terrier and they will work at a early age,but if you don’t start showing them stuff until they are 3 then that’s the age they will start working like any terrier if ya work it from 3yrs old.Ive always been asked why I like borders and it’s from when I was 10 the lad that got me into hunting went out and came back with a cracking pair of borders and I’ve liked them ever since. But if he came back with Lakeland’s or something I might of been into that breed instead. The best thing with the breed they adapt to any lifestyle and very rear ale illnesses and love kids.

Ray (bant) Walkers name cropped up recently talking to an old terrier man who knew him very well. Is his border blood still knocking about.

No mate that went years ago and if there is it will be very diluted down
