"It fractured his jaw, ripped all of his nose, ripped out three teeth from the root - he had to have hundreds and hundreds of stitches, they lost count of how many." Suspect they must left him for more than a second. My lurcher is muzzled around my granddaughter and she is two. No chances ever taken. jigsaw 11,902 Posted April 22, 2022 Author Report Share Posted April 22, 2022 A lot of it is down to the fur mummy /dog is part of our family thinking,people got to realise their not on the same mental stimulus as people,they need to have boundaries,rules and a little domination by the owners,pack rules and the dog is down the list,I always wondered if the parents are the pack leaders,are the dogs looking at very young kids as a challenge to their place in the pecking order ,and assert their dominance over the only ones they can......or maybe I'm talking bollix 11 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I've never had hunting dogs, only house pets but, they've always been treated like dogs and been made well aware of the pecking order. One prime example is she moved to Liverpool when she was 20 , 8 years ago and now talks like she’s from crocky la. her and the absolute waste of time she lives with whenever he isn’t inside have a snappy Jack Russell terrier and a mutant pit bull type that’s the epitome of badly raised. whenever these cases happen she posts ( yeah you know what’s coming ) photos of their 6 year old autistic boy in between the two dogs in the couch with captions such as “ look at my banned breed monster dog , no such thing as bad dogs , only bad owners” What can you do with people like that ??? jigsaw 11,902 Posted April 22, 2022 Author Report Share Posted April 22, 2022 I've kept working staffs,pits,some reared in the house,none were ever left with any of our children alone,but not one ever showed any signs of hostility towards any human,...I had a lurcher in the 90's he was full time indoors,my first born was 3 years old and he was crawling around the floor,the dog was 7 ,he growled at the child while I was in the room a foot away from him....a deep menacing growl,he never saw the sofa or the child again ,the only dog that ever dared to act the cnut 4 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The mind boggles with some people Ok you want a dog , but a 10 year old dog from germany that you have been told is not good with kids ? Decide to take it to a park on a harness ? No muzzle just incase? Let it get close to a kid while your walking it ? The sinic in me thinks the reason he took it on was because it was a ex protection dog and that sounds cool for £150 . Adding the fact its from germany adds a layer of mystery to it aswell. Its all to late now tho the poor kids been bit up and its grandparents will have that horrible memory of watching their grandkid get ragged around in front of them not being able to help Their should be some way to stop mong people getting hands on dogs that have the ability to be powerfull and dangerous . You want a big powerful dog fine , but show you know how to train it and have a basic understanding of dogs and the breed your taking on .
