fireman 11,402
@Stavross and @Daniel cain, when you lads have finished a indian sandstone patio do you seal them (if you do seal them) straight away or leave them for a while to salt out as such, customer wants me to leave it a while while i have always just sealed them pretty much straight away and never had any issues with doing so.. If it’s India stone and the customer wants it sealing I’ll do it straight away, if it’s another natural stone I would recommend letting a winter get at it first to draw the salt out, generally I try to put people off sealing any patio, there’s some really good cleaning products out now that will lift most stuff that spilt on them i did a really expensive one a few years ago and the customer wanted it sealed, to cut a long story short it turned into a nightmare, they were all salt marked and it was like an ice rink, I had to remove the sealer which was a terrible job
