Never been comparison in it for me, once I Sussed the mk3 I gladly got rid of them antique stupid boxes, temperamental cnuting things

my first mk3 the depth was always short....or long depending on your view....if it said 3 foot....the depth was 2 foot....but it was deadly acurate as to the exact spot above the collar/ferret...

the new mk3 i have is deadly acurate both with depth and being right above....

as much as i like the old grey knocker box....the new m3 is better

The lack of interference and the search function are good too.

Yeah I'm sure your right. The components look the same but tidier, just a copy of Mk1 box but better build IMO.

Still a little bit confusing this as to who is actually making them and the details. You would think they or who ever would build up to a big launch with some advertising on here and else where. They would get a big influx of orders as every one grabs one to cover them selves and then I would expect sales to die right down and trickle in.
